DO TABLETS WORK THE SAME AS GRANDULAR AFFRESH?

I think Tide worked better than any other product for me. I used 4 different kinds of cleaners but Tide seems to keep the smell away and I use it at least once a month and clean the rubber around the front of the washer with vinegar and hot water. I have to say I am disappointed in my front load washer. I was so excited to finally get one and now I will be so excited when I can get rid of it!

Does it have a smell (like bleach) that's bad for babies ?

I does NOT smell like bleach, however, it does have a very strong, clean smell, almost like an industrial clean. This is fine for me because I want my machine clean. This item has been the #1 product to deal with any kind of smell coming from a front load washer. I would suggest running a rinse cycle after to dilute the scent left behind and get rid of any possible residual cleaning debris. Leave the door open afterward and the smell will dissipate after a few days, the drum will remain smelling clean without any moldy or mildew odor. The product works. Those complaining just don't want to wait a bit to use the machine again or run a rinse cycle after, which is fine, that's their preference. I have used many machine cleaning products, none work like this and the ones with pretty scents leave a film all over the machine and cause more mold to accumulate.

Am I getting the original Tide 5-packs box package? or it's just loose pack of 5?

Loose packed. But, but it is the same Tide product as the 3-pack box.

does it work on top loading machines

I have a front loading machine and it works quite well. I would imagine that it would work the same for a top loading machine.

Best Deal for Tide Washer Cleaner

I exclusively use this washer cleaner for my front loader. It works way better than the puck cleaners.

Great for Front Loading Machines

The best of the best of washing machine cleaners in my opinion. While I love front loading washing machines, they definitely need to run through a self-clean tub cycle at least once monthly. After using one packet of this monthly, my tub always sparkles and smells great. Definitely takes care of that awful smell which can build up after multiple washes, especially with pets and their hair. Effective and easy to use. My only complaint is that you have to manually use a scissors to access the powder; you cannot open otherwise.
