I'm very pleased with the overall quality of these charcoal tablets, as they light up easily and evenly, have a decent lifespan once lit, and so far there hasn't been a single dud (as there have been with other brands in the past). I also consider them to be a value for the reasonable cost.** BUT, I caution you to always be certain to hold these away from yourself when lighting, with the bottom of the tab facing away! Several times, while in the process of lighting one of these tabs, a small portion on the bottom has suddenly EXPLODED and shot outward, almost like a tiny firework, leaving a pit/hole where the tiny piece of charcoal has burst out of the puck! If one were to be holding the tab too close to their person, or even at arm's length away but had the bottom of the tab facing themselves, this tiny yet powerful explosion IS strong enough to hit you, even at an arm's length away. This could cause serious injury if it were to hit someone in the face or eye.So while I would say that these are quality pucks and I myself would order them again once I've run out, I feel it is important to mention this periodic danger so that others are aware of the potential for these tiny but powerful mini-explosions to happen. Using tongs while lighting is also advisable, but however you choose to light them, just be certain the the bottom of the puck is facing AWAY from you.

Another fun purchase for me! I have never tried resin and for some reason had some in house. Found out what I needed to burn safely and now have added another way of relaxing with different, calming to me, smells!

Was wondering if I should get the larger size but these were sufficient. Enough room to fit my copal and other resins. Burns a long time

Works great, lights well for incense that need charcoal to burn properly.

What can I say, they're just good quick coal!If you don't like burning tin or aluminum with your hookah for a charcoal basket, these aren't too harsh to burn them directly on top of your tobacco!And for you survivalists... These are perfect compact, easy lighting, reliable charcoal! You can put a couple in a can for a hand warmer on seriously cold hunting trips, start a camp fire in just about any weather (keep them dry of course)...

These coals give me the worst headaches. I used to buy this brand all the time, but recently the quality sucks. They use some type of bond that really makes me light headed and fall to the ground. (I fell twice) one time I broke my laundry hamper and almost my neck. I use these coals outside well ventilated area. But don’t use on hookah.
