A medium mesh net grabs everything except silt sand and does NOT push the water. Hence, less physical strain for you larger, lighter debris is NOT pushed away from the net. STURDY NYLON POOL NET RESISTS TEARING A tough nylon leaf net is less likely to develop holes easily collects lots of debris. Durable and works soooo good!
I have been very pleased with this net. It is strong, the shape cleans our koi pond very well and the mesh size is perfect for cleaning out the algae and sludge from the bottom. It also empties out far easier than I expected. A GREAT product. I use it a lot and it has made a big difference in our pond.

Improved construction, REAL warranty replacement!
I originally purchased this net about 6 years ago for my FL in-ground pool. I've used it about twice per month to scoop up larger debris like Palm fronds before setting my robot vacuum loose. The net worked fine, but the plastic rim eventually cracked and it completely fell apart about a week ago. Looking to buy a replacement, I checked my order history here to see what I bought. I was happy to "rediscover" that my net had a lifetime warranty! Better yet, the warranty service is actually as easy as stated. I used the warranty link on the ProTuff website, entered my Amazon order # and my address, and that was all I needed to do. It really did take about 2 minutes. I got an email saying a replacement would be sent out shortly. My new pool net arrived 3 days later. And I was VERY happy to see that it's been improved. Most importantly, the plastic rim is thicker and much sturdier. The net seems a bit sturdier too, and it has a zipper for easy replacement. The plastic rim can also be removed and replaced separately (unlike my first net), which all makes sense for more cost-effective warranty service. This net requires a bit of easy assembly. Just remove the 2 zip ties holding the frame tight, attach the bracket (2 sides and a sleeve fit over the ends of the metal frame, then 3 screws to secure), and it's ready to use. NOTE: Don't cut the zip ties; they are reusable, with a small nub that releases the strip when pushed. A few extra ones are provided too (just for personal use), and I will be using them for luggage, etc. The new net works fine, and seems a bit smoother than my original. This could be due to the thicker, wider plastic rim. I'm pretty sure it will last longer than my first one, and the real lifetime warranty means I won't need to buy a new one down the road. For quality, sturdiness, and warranty, this net is definitely a great deal compared to the cheaper nets I looked at. Highly recommended.

Solid construction
I purchased two of these... One for myself and one as a gift... With the hope of not having to consistently replace my skimmer net. The other ones sold on Amazon just do not hold up more than one season if I'm lucky. I'm almost one season in now with the Tuff Products net and it's just like brand new. And I also have the confidence that if anything actually ever did happen, that their lifetime warranty will hold true. Good job guys... Solid product!

Muy pesada red.
Esta red resulta muy pesada, sobre todo cuando se sostiene el maneral en el extremo opuesto, y aún más si está lleno de basura mojada. Acabé encontrando una re mucho más ligera y esta cayó en desuso.
