The Wedding Book is exactly the comprehensive guide I was hoping for when I started planning my wedding. It covers everything from setting a budget and choosing a venue to navigating family dynamics and writing vows, all in a clear and approachable way. What I appreciate most is that it doesn't push a one-size-fits-all approach — the subtitle 'Your Way' really rings true, as the advice is flexible and adaptable to different styles and budgets. The writing is warm and practical without being overwhelming, which is a relief when you're already dealing with a million decisions. I've recommended it to several engaged friends and they've all found it just as helpful as I did.

This book has been a God-send. I bought a few other books right after getting engaged and this is the only one I reference. I am the first of my siblings and closest friends to get married and have only been to a handful of weddings so I literally didn’t know anything. This book breaks everything down for you: when to book each vendor, what questions to ask (I always keep this book on hand during potential vendor calls), and then the basics like in what order the bridal party typically walks down the aisle and goes to the level of detail that it explains all the types of bustles you can add to your wedding dress. (That’s a great example - I had no idea a bustle was pretty much required for ease of dancing until I read this book). The writer clearly has planned weddings for some very wealthy people and my budget is pretty average, but I still found the advice helpful and she does give you tips on what you can cut to save money in different areas. I can’t recommend it enough and will be giving this as a gift to any friend or family member who becomes engaged in the future! Note: there is a smallish planning section with checklists, charts, etc. at the back of the book. I do all of my planning in Excel and using The Knot’s wedding planning tools because I prefer that to paper, so I can’t really review that section of the book.

This book holds a wealth of information on the many aspects of wedding planning, including questions to ask while interviewing vendors, how to deal with difficult wedding party members, creating a planning timeline, and more. The etiquette suggestions are traditional and some may seem old-fashioned. The thoroughness of the content is a blessing and a curse. The amount of detail and book’s length could be overwhelming.

This book has everything you need to know for wedding planning. Highly recommend purchasing if you are anticipating a proposal soon!

Loved how comprehensive this guide was and one could use it for a number of different styles of wedding. The sections explain everything, including the things you won’t think of, very clearly and it helps you to make good decisions quickly. It saved me so much time as I wasn’t googling every little detail and could get a good answer fast.

Very informative great ideas & advice but not useful to ppl of color for skin care ]l of color dont need tan since it naturally toned bronzed I did learn about other cultures though Jewish traditions & etc. Which was interesting. Also not much information on dressing curvy & full breasted women of color sizes not that I'm big but some of my family is full figured so it wasn't inclusive to them. Huge book lots of good information worth a good read. This company i ordered from is Outstanding!! Used book was in very good condition & arrived quickly I'd definitely order from them again in the future😊😊😊
