you can use it to power another pedal on your board

Q: Will this switch work without power? I don't need the led lights.

It is an active pedal,(requires power) not passive. There are many other pedals with similar features but passive (no battery).

Q: Can you use two separate effects loops into one shared pedalboard?

Yes separately not at the same time. Works great for it's intended purpose. I run a digital distortion on one channel and a tube OD + compressor/sustain on the other. Or clean straight through.
