It's been a little over a year since I installed 12 of these for a new privacy fence in our yard. They still look great, no issues from being out in the harsh Florida environment. Highly recommend them. Sadly the price has doubled.

my stairway looks posh with an addition of two of these.

These are really nice post caps. We had storm damage to our deck and had a bit of trouble finding these. Here they are at a great price! They are super easy to install. Just set them over your 4x4 post and shoot some finishing nails around the base. We use liquid nails inside the cap for extra hold as well. Our old post caps took a beating with the weather and held up really well until a limb from a tree crushed them. We should get another 17 years out of these!

These arrived promptly and I was surprised by the quality. The tops all appear to be from one piece, the surfaces and edges are all smoothed, and while they may at first seem a touch big for standard 4c4 posts, the additional space made it possible to tweak them a bit to “straighten out” twisted posts, or adjust for posts close to the house. I stained/sealed all surfaces, and applied construction adhesive to the post tops, then shot them on with a brad nailer. To shim the extra space, a 1”x3” slice of asphalt shingle on 2 adjacent surfaces worked great, and should age well as it leaves a little space for seasonal shrinkage/expansion differences. I haven’t seen them age yet as I just put them on, but they seem well above any other similar wood product I’ve seen on the market
