She's always been a finicky cat when it comes to her water and preferred to drink out of my bathroom sink. Now she has stopped and drinks exclusively from this bowl. I use filtered water so I don't use the filter. The water sits quite low in the bowl, but there are no spills and so far no complaints from the cat. Someone said that this bowl attracts dirt and dust and I haven't had that problem. Because of that statement I check the bowl frequently and found no such "dirt/dust" attraction. Every few days I top off the water and wipe out the bowl, maybe this little bit of maintenance insures that the bowl stays clean. The only downside and it's really not a problem, is that filling the reservoir is a bit slow, but don't care, the cat loves it and I don't have to do this on a daily basis. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Not as great as I thought it was going to be *by H***Y on February 12, 2017* Not as great as I thought it was going to be. They'd not have it, because the battery sounds freak them out. There is no battery. I believe the mechanism for this water bowl is something related to physics... perhaps some genius way of using the weights, etc...It automatically replaces water so my kids are stayed hydrated.
