Plastic connection head. Saves manufacturers money but puts you at risk.
Other than the plastic connection head this pump seems to work well. Would prefer a stainless steel connection head. This thing lives 100’ underground and if the plastic gets old and cracks how would you ever get it out of the well? Anyway it does seem to function exceedingly well. Pun intended lol.

Don't buy cheap Chinese made
I have had the same well for 41 years. I have replaced the well pump 4 times. Out of the 4 times, 2 were returned because they were defective. Both were local business that stocked Chinese made. Only buy a quality submersible pump made in America. Gould (pronounced GOLD) has one of the highest ratings. When I changed the pump, I thought my well was still not working. What I discovered this pump is such high quality you don't hear it run and the water being pumped has minimal vibrations on the plumbing. I am very impressed and satisfied. I hope I get 20 years on this pump like my first submersible pump. Don't go cheap!

Worked great until it seized after two months
Motor seized after two months of use. I had this installed in a 500 gallon storage tank in a flow sleeve. One day it just stopped working. Pulled it out and separated motor and pump and the motor is completely seized. Looks like the motor is made in China.

Quality Product!!!
Great Well Pump was fairly easy to install shipping was very good and fast it got delivered before they said it would first one lasted 30 years i hope this one will do the same

It works
It works and I’m happy for that. It says on the box built in the USA and it even says USA on the top part of the pump, but in small print on the bottom of the pump, it says made in China. Here I thought I’m supporting a local company in Auburn New York and the pump is made in China.

Has lived up to the Goulds name
I used this pump in a 1500 gal. water tank as a secondary pump to the house. It has been at work now for several months now and has preformed flawlessly just as the Goulds primary pump that has been in the well for 23 years. I could have purchased a foreign pump at a fraction of the cost but stuck with a name that has served me well.
