## Questions & Answers

**Q: As it is cast iron, can this be used as on the grill for smash burgers?**
A: Like over gas burners or bbq grill? I would think so. Cast iron is awesome like that

**Q: Can this be used on a cooking range/direct heat?**
A: Yes it can. I like to start a dish on the stove top then put in the oven to finish. You can also use on a grill.

**Q: How thick is it?**
A: It’s roughly about 5/16 of an inch thick. It’s very durable and we love it. We have the former style Lodge pizza stone as well, we love both. They both provide us with performance that we have come to expect from all of our Lodge products!

**Q: Will this work for crepes?**
A: No, this will not work for crepes. Technically,  you can make a crepe on it, but... a crepe requires a lighter pan, preferably teflon, and ability to flick it to toss crepe and reverse. Too heavy for that, handles all wrong, and no lip.  Crepe requires a rolling motion to coat the pan, and a lip to keep batter from spilling - cannot do that here.  Wrong shape of pan.

The perfect pan for us dedicated fry-up fanatics. The perfect size, the perfect weight, base is flat as glass for a halogen hob, non-stick out of the box and will fit in any British oven for those who want to season the pan before use and/or after cleaning. It'll outlive you and your Grandchildren absolutely indestructible. For most of us chaps, it's the only pan you'll ever need. Teflon coated 'non-stick' pans are a nasty gimmick, chuck 'em all in the bin and get some proper heavy metal in your life.
