⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 stars - Amazing quality, third party compatible
Crystal clear performance - switching my whole system to Reolink This camera works amazingly well! The 3K video quality is crystal clear - you can see every detail during the day and the night vision is impressive too. The big plus for me is that it works with third party software, which gives me so much more flexibility in how I set up and manage my security system. Not being locked into proprietary software is huge. The camera has performed so well that I'll be doing my entire security system with Reolink products. When one product works this good and gives you the freedom to use it how you want, it's an easy decision to stick with the brand. At $39.99, this is excellent value for the video quality and features you get. Auto tracking works great, setup was straightforward, and it's been rock solid reliable. Highly recommend - this convinced me to go all-in on Reolink.

Quality product. Easily setup. No annoying ads
Great picture quality. Easily setup to stream on my network for continuous monitoring. Good app for accessing and making changes to settings. No subscription necessary and not annoying ads on the app trying to get me to buy something else or subscribing to a monthly service. Monitoring without big brother

Non-trivial install - not for the tech faint of heart
Note that I already have a Reolink 420 and a C1-Pro (no longer made). I had previously bought the E1 with a single 2.4Ghz frequency which stubbornly refused to connect with the iPhone Reolink app. I have an XFinity Arris dual frequency cable modem router where the 2 frequencies are bound to the same name, rather than with separate names as is more usual. After much communication with tech support, as well as posting questions, I was persuaded to give the dual frequency E1-Pro a shot. Using the Reolink app on my iPhone, the ca,era could not get any further than the multi-language request to load the app. This was worse than the E1 which at least got to the end of the process but would not connect. However, as I was told that this camera should work, I connected it to an ethernet cable and used the Reolink Windows software to make the connection. This worked. I was then able to configure the WiFi using the WiFi name and password. So far, so good. However, I use iSpy as my software to manage my cameras and motion detection recordings. The latest version did have the E1-Pro listed as installable with the IP camera wizard. No joy. It was clearly not able to detect the camera. However, knowing that the camera used ONVIF, I was able to connect this camera using the ONVIF menu item., and using the camera's name and password that was required by the Reolink Windows app. Bottom line: 1. The camera does work and can be connected. 2. It would not connect with the Reolink app from the Apple iTunes Appstore 3. It did need to be connected using an ethernet cable from the cable modem router and using the Reolink Window software. This required adding a name and p[password (actually good for privacy). Once the WiFi is configured, the ethernet cable can be disconnected and the camera then works via WiFi on the Reolink Windows app. 4. If you use iSpy software to manage security cameras, it needs to be installed using the ONVIF menu item when adding a camera, and NOT the IP camera wizard as it cannot detect the camera. This is not a camera to give to a technical novice as it will generate hours of frustration. Once connected, it is a nice camera, with good resolution and like the discontinued C1-Pro, has sound as well as vision. AFAICS, the only improvement over the C1-Pro is that the external antennas are absent giving it a smaller form factor for placement (and, a minor factor, is more esthetically pleasing).

Amazing product!
I recently purchased three Reolink E1 Pro monitors to keep an eye on a family member who recently had some health issues. I am extremely impressed, satisfied and so happy that I selected this product. The product arrived in perfect shape. The setup of each monitor was extremely easy. The phone app was easy to find and install on my Android phone. Voice prompts from the monitor and also the app guided me through the whole process quickly and easily. Setup was a breeze and had me monitoring in just a few minutes.. The phone app is very easy to use, which is another huge asset in using this product. I set up one monitor in the living room, kitchen-dining room area, and bedroom. I can view each room separately or I can monitor all three rooms at once. Monitoring during daytime or evening is easy due to the great resolution of the monitor. I can also turn on the sound and hear all communication going on in a room. The Reolink monitor also allows me to return communication (two-way). There have been a few instances where my family member has said my communication was a bit garbled, but that may be due to user error on my part by being too close to my phone when speaking. Most times communication from my end is heard well. There is a second or 2 delay in receiving my voice communication but I am heard and can hear the family member extremely well. Also the monitor has amazing room surveillance coverage in that I am able to remotely move the monitor so that I can see all parts of a room from ceiling to floor and left to right. Technology is amazing!!! This product has given me a sense of well-being when I can't be with my family member in person. It also has given my family member a sense of safety and well-being in that they dont feel alone. Whether this device would be used for baby monitoring, covid monitoring, the elderly monitoring, security or any other needed reason for monitoring, I highly highly recommend this product. You get a lot of bang for your buck along with a huge sense of relief in being able to oversee any situation clearly without actually being in the room. This is a great product that I highly recommend. I am beyond satisfied with my purchase.

Easy set up, tons of great features and good quality for price
I'm really happy with this item vs the price point. My husband can have a joined account, you can move the camera to get different views of your room, there is audio available so I can talk through it as well as hear what is happening, the lag is very minimal for real time, and it was very easy set up. All in all it took me less than 10 minutes to put together and figure out how to use the device. Where it is currently has very low wifi strength, which is an issue in that section of our house for all of our devices, but I don't notice it causing any major setbacks. The indoor camera was an experiment to see if I could justify buying more from this company and so far I am pleased and am now considering the outdoor variation. I haven't experienced their customer support staffing yet but if it is needed I will absolutely come back to add to the review with how things are handled.

Great cams made better by great support!
First unit I received had some issues, which was surprising after such a great experience with my previous purchase of an E1 Outdoor, but these things happen occasionally. Reolink sent out a replacement unit the same day I submitted my return request and I received my new unit the next day. No issues with this unit in the same location so I guess the first one was actually faulty. Got to love a vendor that stands behind their products 100%! The other thing I love about Reolink is their openness and dedication to open source protocols and projects. You have lots of choices for how you consume your camera and you're not tied to someone's app or cloud. Home Assistant integration is amazing and is actively developed. But even if you didn't want to use their integration, you could get your cam into Home Assistant via other methods like Onvif or RTSP. With Reolink, you have options. Like my E1 Outdoor, the camera provides a great image and good streaming as well as local recording with plenty of options for alerts and notifications. AI detection is outstanding for a locally processed detection. If I had to dig for any cons, the only one would be the lack of a patrol mode. I realize it puts strain on the PTZ motor, but it's really useful for two locations I have that I would replace the existing cam with a new Reolink. Very happy with my second purchase (and my quick support resolution) and will be purchasing again.

Reliable product
If I had to choose between any brand this one has been the most reliable with a very easy setup. I can keep an eye on my animals while away or my children while I’m home. If I heard something or if the kids won’t tell me what happened I just watch the footage and get the whole story. I even have the 8 camera nvr system for outdoors. They also have solar powered cameras for feeders or remote areas though you may need to put a cell service on it.

Love these cameras
So for those of you who have trouble getting your cameras to connect to your WiFi, here’s what I did: Initially during setup, you’ll want to use an ethernet cable connected directly to your router. Scan the QR code as instructed on the bottom of your camera using the Reolink app. It’ll then prompt you to select a method for connecting to your network. Choose the wired ethernet connection. Connect your Ethernet cable to your camera, then connect the other end into your router in an ethernet port. Follow the setup instructions. Once it goes to the screen asking you to connect to your wifi, skip this step. It should finish setup and take you to the home page of your Reolink app where you can now view your camera. Select the camera you just setup and click on the gear icon. Select wifi and choose your network. Yes this camera does support both 2.5 ghz and 5G. When prompted, manually enter your wifi network password and click save. Your camera should now be connected to both the Ethernet cable and WiFi. You can go ahead and disconnect the Ethernet cable and your camera should work fine on your wifi network. It may give a false issue with wifi connectivity initially when you disconnect your Ethernet and unplug your power cord. Just move your camera to wherever you want in your house and plug it back in. Give it some time. It might say it’s disconnected. I just clicked on the gear icon and went to wifi then went back to the main screen. Just click on some menu items or something until it reregisters and connects again. It’s a little iffy at first but so far my cameras have been working and connecting fine. Don’t forget to add in your high endurance micro SD card and format it. From here you can play around with the menu options. Mounting them was easy as it comes with a template. Just make sure your mounting plate faces whatever way you want your power cord to hang down from once the camera is locked into the mounting plate. It comes with a long power cord which provides more than enough length to connect how I need it to. The camera quality is pretty good, not great but you do have the option to choose between low, mid and high camera quality while viewing. There is some lag (few milliseconds) when watching the video from my phone and viewing actions live. Some of this can be fixed by adjusting settings within the app (lowering quality, etc). But mostly it’ll be come down to software, your internet connection, location, etc. not a whole lot you can do about that. I don’t like the pan tilt options as much because you can’t fine tune the movement and there’s lag time between when you press the button to rotate and when the camera actually moves. It’s moves a bit too much for my taste. I do not hear any sound when moving the cameras in our home however and that’s with the general noises (refrigerator, fans, etc going in). Sound quality is decent when using the two way audio but there’s definitely better quality out there for cameras in this price range. I like that you can schedule when you’d like to receive alerts for movement, especially since it’s an indoor camera, however I wish this function was more user friendly and we could select the time and dates like you would in a calendar app rather than sliding your finger along a vertical time map. Definitely make sure that they do not directly face up against a wall when viewing because that can alter the appearance when viewing on the phone. I’m still testing them out but I’ll try to remember to update if I notice anything else of importance.
