Does this set come with roller pins/clips? If so, how many?

12-25-22…Got the purple/black “Waves and Volume” as a gift. This set DOES NOT
come with the metal U clips. It does come with 12 claw-type clips which are pretty useless in my opinion. They do not hold the curler up. I will order the U clips separately. Unfortunately there is nowhere to hold the U clips so I’ll have to store them in a bag a d keep them in a safe place. .

Question 2

My hair is waist length and pretty thick. Has anyone with hair like this had much success with these?

My hair is crazy thick and naturally very wavy and frizzy in the humidity. I swear by these hot rollers and have used them since middle school (I’m 30). They work best if you blow out your hair with a round brush then immediately use the hot rollers with a spray gel (herbal essence spray gel, teal bottle). 5-6 rollers straight back - I do the first by my face with a thick roller and the bottom piece at base of my neck with the thick one) then 3 on each side of my head. Thick one by the face and then 2 of the smaller ones behind it. Keep in for 10 min for looser curls, 20-30 for longer stay. Take out, toss your head over and run fingers through the scalp part to loosen at the base, and then add gloss! My curls last 5-6 days cause I have very dry hair (unless it’s the dead of summer then typically 4 days cause humidity - my nemesis ). Enjoy!!!!

Every time I put in a search for "Steam" hair rollers this set pops up. Can you add water for steam to this set?

I’ve used these rollers for years… you can’t add water to make steam, but you can quickly put the rollers under a stream of water before you put them in your hair.  Caution, they get hot!!! I usually put some pieces of folded paper towel under the curlers so they don’t burn my head.  This is especially helpful around my ears.

What is the difference between this model and the newest XTreme heat jumbo and super jumbo rollers?

I don't know what the difference is, don't have the newest XTreme heat jumbo.. etc.  Won't buy another Conair product after my experience with this one.
