## Description

The SHOWA TEMRES 282-02 gloves are the ultimate breathable, waterproof solution for extreme winter conditions. Featuring a micro-porous polyurethane coating and an insulated acrylic fleece liner, these gloves keep your hands warm and dry while allowing sweat and moisture to escape. Unlike traditional rubber gloves that turn stiff in the cold, the TEMRES 282-02 remains flexible in temperatures as low as -58°F (-50°C), ensuring your dexterity is never compromised. The integrated drawstring cuff seals out snow and debris, while the rough-textured grip provides superior control on wet tools, ski poles, and climbing gear. With a seamless, ergonomic design that prevents hand fatigue, these gloves are built for commercial fishing, cold storage, or ice climbing. Redefine your winter performance with the professional-grade protection of the TEMRES 282-02.

Review: Best Waterproof Cold Weather Kayak Gloves/Gauntlets - Overall: These are outstanding cold weather kayak gloves/gauntlets. The soft, supple lining keeps your hands/fingers nice and warm down to freezing conditions. Finger dexterity is excellent. Glove liners are not required. However, should you use liners, make sure the liner gloves are of a very thin material; bulky gloves liners will restrict your finger dexterity. These gloves are very easy to pull on and take off. The extended cuff (or gauntlet) is another beauty of these gloves. The cuff is the exact reason I bought these gloves. It measures 5 inches from the wrist to mid-forearm. 3 inches of the cuff is the same material as the hand and fingers. 2 inches of this cuff, located at the mid-forearm area, is a soft waterproof shell material, including an easy to pull drawstring closure. This feature is very important in keeping water from channeling back into a splash/wet suit at the wrist. Sizing: For men, I would highly suggest getting the XXL. You might think they might be too floppy on your hands; they aren't. I don't have super large hands and yet, they fit my hands perfectly, with very little slop. Yes, the fingers on the XXL do seem a bit stubby. However, I can overlook that, since all I'm doing is paddling. Grip: These gloves provide the perfect amount of grip for paddling; not slippery and not too grippy. I use a Greenland paddle, so my hands must be able to run the entire length of the paddle without any issues. These gloves afford that necessity. Wrap up: Should these gloves fail in some fashion or get lost, I'd buy another pair in a heartbeat. I could order some actual Greenland style paddle gloves/gauntlets from overseas (because no company in the US has the good sense to make a pair). But why? These gloves do exactly what I need them to do in my kayaking ventures. No real cons with these gloves... just paddling happiness.
Review: Good for Wet Winters - I am pretty impressed by these. They have been a good tool for skiing in the Pacific Northwest winters. They are surprisingly warm, but they are intended to use around the freeze/thaw temperatures. They have great waterproofing and don’t really make my hands sweat in them. Been recommending them to others.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Do you actually receive 12 gloves? the price doesn't seem to match its drawstring-less brother, the regular temres 282.**
A: No, you actually receive a single pair of gloves. I ordered them two weeks ago and they were exactly what I expected.

This product’s rating is low because the title is inaccurate, however if you expect a single pair of gloves, it’s a 5* product imo!

**Q: Large vs medium size? Is there any actual measurements for comparison?**
A: The large was too large. I'd try the medium size first.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exactly what I wanted
*by S***E on December 9, 2024*

These gloves are fantastic. I got them for shoveling and doing outside winter things that required waterproof gloves, or a high level of dexterity. I figured if they worked for ice climbers, they’d work for me. This was a correct assumption. They are WAY warmer than they look, 100% wind resistant, and I can do things like open up a folded dog poop bag better than I can bare handed. They also wick away sweat well. Not sure how that happens in a rubber glove, but it does. They seem to be pretty tough. I won’t hesitate to use them moving around logs, but I’d be a bit wary moving split firewood. A sharp enough splinter might take them out. I expect to go through about a pair a year, which for all the pluses, is a good value in my book. Being Japanese, they run small. The medium fit me perfect, and I usually wear a men’s small, so one size up should do it. I will definitely replace them when they eventually wear out.
