I enjoyed that there were some unexpected animals (a Urial and Narwhal, for example) for them and I to learn about and play with. I think the unique animals are helping them to remember the letters because they stand out in their mind more, such as "N for narwhal, the unicorn whale!"The box that they come in is very nice, it makes storage easy. It doesn't take up a lot of room and it is easy for a small child to carry around without losing all the pieces. They are also easy to clean and not messy, especially since the ink is washable.
