E' da anni che ho scoperto i gel da barba King of Shaves e posso da parte mia garantire (anche se resta pur sempre un'opinione personale) che il confort di rasatura e scorrevolezza che assicurano non hanno nulla a che fare con qualsiasi sapone da barba, anche costoso e di altissima qualità, mai provato prima. Io mi rado con rasoi da barba tradizionali e i puristi saranno in completo disaccordo con quanto affermo, ma usando questo gel ho completamente abbandonato la combinata di prebarba, sapone da barba e pennello (e ne ho di diversi, in setole di maiale, di tasso e sintetiche). Posso capire il piacere del gesto del montaggio del sapone in ciotola o sul viso che si viene a perdere, ma qui non ne faccio una questione di tempo risparmiato ma semplicemente di un maggior confort di rasatura, oserei dire imbattibile. L'importante è sciacquare bene il viso con acqua calda, dopodiché si applica il gel diluendolo direttamente sul viso con un po' d'acqua e con un massaggio circolare, continuando con piccole quantità d'acqua finché non si avverte una sensazione molto "scivolosa" sulla pelle (raccomando di non lesinare con la quantità, non ne serve tanto ma il giusto). A questo punto, il rasoio scivolerà senza alcun inceppamento anche in contropelo, in totale assenza di tagli e irritazioni (ovviamente è condizione imprescindibile una buona tecnica di rasatura acquisita negli anni). Ho personalmente testato tutte le versioni, che nella loro ultima evoluzione sono diventate a base di Aloe + Tea Tree. La Sensitive è adatta alle pelli più sensibili ed ha una piacevole profumazione fresca e non troppo invadente. Non affatto male anche il post rasatura, anche se mi piace per abitudine finire con del buon dopobarba. Consiglio di lasciare da parte i pregiudizi e testarlo almeno una volta.

Good value, fast delivery

I discovered the King of Shaves sensitive shaving lotion many years ago and felt it was the best shaving product I'd ever tried. A few years ago, King of Shaves changed the product packaging style (trying to use a one-time metal can and refill packs). This didn't work out very well, and this product was very hard to find. During that period, I tried a dozen different shaving products trying to find a decent alternative, but was not able to find anything that worked nearly as well, or did so without heavy perfume or cologne smells that were sickeningly overwhelming. Then, much to my joy, they brought the product back to market in this current packaging. The package may be a little different, but this is the same product, and it's performance simply cannot be matched. It is also still reasonably priced, because even though the package may look small, it only takes a little for each use, making it also an excellent value. If you haven't tried this, and you have to shave every day for work, you owe it to yourself to give it a try; you won't be disappointed.
