Hunter x Hunter, Vol. 1: The Day of Departure

My son loves this series, and this is his first book in the collection. Very happy with this purchase!

Great manga, great story, great quality. Out of all 37 volumes that are out, this is still one of my favorite covers, purely for the iconic shiny frog.

And so my collection begins!... If you've seen the Hunter x Hunter anime most likely you know what you're already in for! And if you haven't then just buy the volume it's relatively cheap anyway and it definitely won't disappoint! But if you're still on the fence about spending your money on some "questionable" manga then, go and watch some of the anime on a free-to-watch anime site or any other subscription based one whichever your means just watch it! You'll be hooked whether it sub or dub I can almost say without a doubt you'll fall in love with it! I've always been a fan of Mr. Togashi's work especially Yoshihiro's golden child Yu Yu Hakusho! Being long since established as one the best during its time both critically and commercially... well maybe that's an overstatement but it's grade A reading material and it's one of the best in my opinion, I'm not the only one here! So, all in all just let that speak volumes for itself and if somehow throughout any of this you're still not sold on HxH just ask around a anime community ('cause you're clearly a anime fan already) you'll find your answer and if you're an aspired collector like myself you'll unquestionably want this one added to your growing collection!

wanted to purchase manga and what better way to celebrate than having the 1st volume of HXH in my reach forever, at all times? i love HXH. i watched the anime a year ago or so and finished it in 8 days, and it’s one of my favorite series ever. it is brilliant, sad, twisted, emotional, and entertaining. please support the manga. i hope to collect more soon.

Coming in as a big fan of the anime I wanted to get into the manga. Though I’ll probably just read it on the Shonen app (I’m not spending over 350 bucks for all them), it’s still cool to own a physical copy or two. The print quality is good, the art is awesome, and the story is amazing. There are certain things that differ from the anime so it’s worth experiencing both. I’d recommend it.
