Batmax 2Pc LIP1359 Battery Replacement for Sony PS3 PlayStation 3 Controller Sixaxis Dualshock 3 CECHZC2E CECHZC2U

I have 3 Dualshock 3 controllers so I figured I would order 2 batteries first and see how it goes, then order 2 more to do the remaining one and have one spare. This is what I ended up doing since the first two went in and they fit and seem to work just fine. They appear to have a full charge and the controllers work as they should. I don't know how long they will last before dying but they are way better than the original batteries that they replaced, which would only work for a few minutes before dying. I had to keep them plugged in in order to use them. Also when you have your controller apart, use it as an excuse to clean the ribbon cable contacts and any other grime from the innards,especially if you have issues with the buttons 'pressing themselves' and making your on screen menu go crazy (Like mine were!). The two controllers I've done thus far now work perfectly again. Spending a bit extra time doing some cleaning with Q-tips and Isopropyl alcohol will be worth it. There are videos on youtube that will help if needed.

Bought these replacement batteries for my PS3 controllers. Installation was easy and the kit comes with everything you need! First, I used the screw driver to remove the 5 screws on back controller plate. Then the pry tool to separate the controller plates. Once opened the original battery was easy to disconnect and replace with the new battery. It Fit perfectly. Put everything back together in reverse order and boom my controller works like new again. The one thing I will say when put the controller plates back together again make sure you reseat the R1 R2 and L1 L2 buttons before you put the plates together and always check to make sure the buttons function as they should. If they don't, take the back plate off again, reseat the buttons and try again. It's super easy to get it right don't worry. Been through one power cycle so far and I'm very happy with my purchase. I recommend these replacement batteries to anyone looking to salvage their PS3 controllers!

My PS3 controllers batteries were dead and order the Batmax kit. The first controller I worked on the buttons fell off. Second controller I used freezer tape to hold the buttons in place. I tried a flat head screw driver to disconnect the battery and that was not working. A pair of needle nose pliers worked fine. Batteries fit prefect so no complaints.

Dont charge. I bought this to give new life to my ps3 controller. This was worse than the 10 year old battery that i already have on it. I dont recommend this.

These were fairly straightforward to replace, but keep in mind that you might have one of three different styles of Dualshock. Two of mine were the same battery as this replacement and was a perfect fit, but two others required some finagling to get to not give me pause that the battery would be rubbing on the circuit board. However, I just stuck on a few small squares of squishy rubber "non slip" padding that I had around on the battery facing the circuit board and it went perfect. You'll know if I recommend this for the controller you have if you open it up and the battery has tabs that connect to the circuit board. Just search foam non slip pad and you'll find the right stuff. Pay attention to the solder points on the circuit board and you'll know where to put the 1/4 inch squares you cut from the pad to keep it away from the metal points. They check out as close to the stated capacity, mine tested at 1688, 1750 mAh, which is 94-97%. Definitely worth it if you love your PS3. BUT grab some q tips and cotton with some rubbing alcohol for when you take your controllers apart, you'll want to clean the seams lol.

Easy to install and brought my old controllers back from the dead! They work great now and hold a charge for a long time! Well worth it!

These new batteries are great for old PS3 controllers that would not hold a charge any more, or for very long. My controllers were well over 10 years old and these babies are great. Been in for about 2 months and we can play for hours wirelessly again. It was tricky replacing them, not because of the batteries, but because of how the controllers were constructed to begin with, so if you are a novice with electronics watch some videos on the process, there are several different controller models. These batteries will work in whatever model, as the 2 that I did were different models. The hardest part that I ran into was actually reassembling the controllers. Making sure the R1s and L1, etc were positioned correctly when putting the top and bottom pieces back together. The actual battery swap out is super easy, and even the disassembly is pretty straightforward, but that reassembly can be tricky and frustrating at times. But all in all good batteries.

Easy to install, came with a helpfull little screwdriver and plastic pry tool which worked well and is a nice touch to include. The battery fits like the original and seems to hold a charge for quite a long time. Time will tell if it will be good in the long run, but so far no complaints.
