This is the cleaner recommended by the company that refinished and stained our hardwood floors, and we’ve been using it for about a year with good results. It cleans well and hasn’t caused any issues with the finish. It’s also the brand our house cleaner prefers, which gave me extra confidence in it. One thing to note: even after the floors are mopped, I can still pick up some brown residue when I go over them with an electric mop. That may be due to normal foot traffic or the limitations of a traditional mop-and-bucket method rather than the cleaner itself. I appreciate that there’s no strong chemical smell. Overall, we’re happy with the product, though I would love to see an even more human-, baby-, and pet-friendly version in the future.

The Catch: If you use too much, it can leave a slight haze. The trick is to use a barely damp microfiber pad. If your floors are really dirty, you might need two passes because this is a gentle cleaner, not a heavy-duty degreaser. Overall, it’s the best for maintaining a nice satin shine without buildup.
