Very handy , bought for work as we are located in a heavy public and busy road. Accidents happen . Now everyone is prepared to help those in need and feel that little bit more confident and secure that they will be protected as well .

I’ve attended two first aid for work courses at St John!s Ambulance- which isn’t saying much. They emphasised infection control- so these have a one way valve. . I’ve never done this for real and only attended one concussion accident. If you place the device with the writing uppermost and clamp your mouth around the plastic ring encased in the film tightly as you breath in, then yes it does seem to work. (Also you are supposed to tip the victim’s head back and pinch their nose as you blow in- but check an online video). Anyway I got the dummy to breathe the second time. Basically the ambulance won’t be coming anytime doon. There is no fancy pants healthcare- I’ve heard of a teenager stuck in the freezing cold for 3 hours with a complex leg fracture. Carry round a couple of these and foil blankets. You can always pass it to someone more gung ho.

Depends on your manakin, students found them hard to get in the mouth and in real life, too much time wasted
