Review: Best Solution I have Used for YEARS & My dogs LOVE!! - I have LOVED this since I first discovered it a few years ago when I looked for an indoor and patio solution for my two dogs. They LOVE THEM. I actually buy three outdoors and one for indoors so they have enough places to smell and use. My dogs are about 3.5 - 4 lbs each. Honestly this was THE BEAT solution I have yet to have tried and I have tried so many through the years. For ANYONE using real grass and getting the desertcart grass sold on here or the Fresh Patch… had terrible quality issues. Please DO NOT opt for them. Every time I would get them they would have baby ticks and mites under the grass. Just lift them up especially after a few days. I live in a high rise so I have no exposure to the outside and every time I would try them for a few years they would have ticks walking in and around it as well as a bunch of mites and other bugs!! So whomever is getting those are exposing your animal and yourself to these scary bugs. Bark Potty is a fabulous solution. I line mine with a couple pee pads and put them in a walled holder for them which is sold separately but it helps keep everything in the square especially for male dogs. While it can be more expensive then alternative solutions, you are paying for more time to not had to swap them out. Review: Meh - I purchased this product for my mostly house-trained 3 month old puppy. For the past 2 months, my puppy has been successfully box trained. However, because the box is lined with weewee pads, I hated the urine smell it was leaving in my guest bathroom. Because this product claims to be naturally odor fighting, I thought I could swap out the box for this. Unfortunately, my puppy is more focused on eating the bark than peeing on it. It's only been 2 days, so I'm going to see if his behavior changes, but I'm not optimistic and fear we'll be right back to weewee pads. ————————————————————- 3/27/2025 update: I got a new puppy and decided to give this a try again. Thankfully she took to it immediately and has done very well with pottying on it only. HOWEVER, within a week the smell is horrific. My puppy weighs 8 lbs and does not use this exclusively for pottying-Only when I am not home-so I expected it to last at least 2 to 4 weeks. I have an air purifier right next to it but the smell of urine that comes from it is unbearable. I have tried spraying it with simple green to keep the odor down and that does not help. There is no way I can have this thing in my house so unfortunately, will not be continuing to use.

**Q: My Pomeranian nails got stuck in the wires. Is there a better way to use this?**
A: My yorkie got caught once, so I cut the mesh from the top, as close to the edge as possible because the plastic can be sharp after it's cut.  A few pieces of bark may fall out occasionally from his walking, but I feel much better about that than risking he gets stuck when I'm not home.  I later made my own box and poured bark into it, once I realized the mesh was not necessary for my dog.

**Q: Would this work for rabbits?!? Does the plastic tray fill with pee and need poured out? Replaces 60 pads and not have a tray of pee?**
A: The plastic tray does not fill with pee, rather the “shrubs” that are under the netting absorb the pee.  We made it 30 days with a small puppy, 15 once the pup was about 5 months old.  Much nicer than the pads :)

**Q: What about the poop**
A: This is in the description if you read about how to use it...the dog poops on the bark potty. You let it dry and then pick it up. The description and instructions are very helpful as a resource for use and training

I purchased this product for my mostly house-trained 3 month old puppy. For the past 2 months, my puppy has been successfully box trained. However, because the box is lined with weewee pads, I hated the urine smell it was leaving in my guest bathroom. Wow! Bark Potty has been an absolute game changer for me and my chihuahua. I used to have pee pads which would smell horrendously if not switched two times a day. I would needed to mop every day to have the odor go away in my apartment. I’ve had Bark Potty a little over a month and there has been NO smell whatsoever. Because it’s bark, Princess got used to going there very quickly. I believe it may be the natural smell. If you’re thinking about it, I would recommend using Bark Potty. Yes, it’s a little on the pricier side but absolutely worth it! For reference I have a small 8-10lbs chihuahua and will most likely be replacing this bark potty box by the end of the second month. So far no leaks, odors or signs that it needs to be replaced but the website recommends to switch every 2-3 months and I do want Princess to have newer bark.
