Why did you pick this product vs others?: Love this product. On my 3rd bottle. I make a nice instant spicy beef pho with this (not authentic, but yummy). Will for sure buy again

The flavor is acceptable from a point of view of a Thai person. It's good to have it handy when you are craving for it but have no time to cook.

I love Thai cuisine and the sauces are perhaps my favorite of any origin. I add fish sauce to my takeout rice dishes and soups, make a jaew for grilled steak and vegetables, and I eat pho at a level of heat and funky flavor that turn most people off from taking a quick whiff. I also generally like shrimp paste in a stir fry or sauce, but this one is just a bit too funky for my taste. Lobo is a great brand that produces high-quality, authentic Thai products, so there is no question on those points here, but even with my tolerance for fishy flavor, I didn't like this sauce. It's also not nearly as spicy/hot as some of the reviews here suggest. Check out the Pantai Cantonese sukiyaki sauce for something in a similar vein that is more neutral but also delicious. It's also entirely possible that mixing this into a recipe or with other ingredients to make a sauce would result in something better suited to my palate.

This stuff tastes great. So far I've used it in stir-fries and kimche. Good flavor and spicey.
