Does not include tongue safety warning
This ice cube tray makes some big-ash ice cubes! They're actually too big to fit in my cups, ha ha. SO, I've resorted to drinking warm soda and then licking an ice cube, alternately. However, this comes with an added danger, as I found out - licking a large ice cube can make your tongue stick to it! Luckily, these are clear ice cubes, so the doctor was able to see my tongue through the cube right before removing it. Fun times!!

Works well! Don’t overfreeze. Learning curve to removing ice.
This set up really does work in delivering clear ice cubes! It is a little tricky removing the mold, (I recommend gently pulling back the foam from around the edges of the black molding, then you can wiggle and pull the tray out of the foam container). Do NOT overfreeze. All freezers are different, so check the mold at 18hrs, 24hrs, etc until you have the proper freeze. I also noticed that one random ice cube spot would pop up and become more of an ice log rather than a cube. Once the cube/log is removed, you can take a serrated knife and score a line across it and then hit the knife with a mallet to cut the cube.

Fun but Timle Consuming and somewhat difficult
The Clear Ice Cube Tray adds a stylish touch to serving ice cocktails to guests, making the presentation a lot more enjoyable. However, it comes with some challenges. Pros: Aesthetic Appeal: The clear ice cubes look fantastic in drinks, enhancing the visual experience for your guests. Fun Factor: Using this tray can elevate your cocktail-serving game, making it a fun addition to gatherings. Cons: Long Freezing Time: It takes about two days for the cubes to fully freeze, which requires some planning ahead if you're hosting guests. Difficult to Remove: Getting the cubes out of the tray can be quite tricky, and transferring them to a bag for storage is not the easiest task. Limited Capacity: With only 10 cubes per batch, I've found myself making two batches at a time to ensure I have enough on hand. Overall, while the Clear Ice Cube Tray certainly impresses visually, the preparation and storage processes can be cumbersome. It's best used when you have the time to plan ahead!

Well, it works. Wastes a lot of water, silly-hard to expel cubes.
Lets be clear here, in order to make this work as instructed, you have to time your filling and putting in the freezer so you can remove it from the freezer at the perfect moment the cubes are frozen BUT the water below has NOT frozen yet. Really!? The cube tray has holes in the bottom so the warm water in the bottom is connected with the water in the cube forms. If you let the tray freeze just a little too long the cubes are connected to the giant block of ice below. That is stupid, plain and simple. So every time you make a tray of cubes, you have to pour about a quart of warm water into the bottom bin, just up to the level of the cube tray. There are NO marks to let you know how full you should go, Its a crap-shoot. If you go too full the water spills out all over when you insert the cube tray, too little and the water you add to the cube tray mixes with the warm water below a cools it. OK, now put in your freezer and set a timer. Remove the tray too soon and water from the bottom of the tray pours out, too late and cubes are frozen to the brick of ice below. This was a waste of money, sorry. Swing and a miss. Nobody needs high maintenance ice cubes.

Look elsewhere
First of all the directions are not clear and don't make much sense. The tub is twice as deep as the silicone mold tray. You are supposed to fill this up 1/4" from the top and keep it in the packing foam. Then put it in the freezer for 18-24 hours. Then take it out and let it sit for 20 minutes to slightly thaw so you can remove the frozen mold from the tray, that is a block of ice, and then you get your 10 cubes of ice. Cons: They are not all crystal clear They are not all full size 18-24 hours for ice Takes up alot of freezer room Cost . I'm going to plug the holes in the bottom of the mold and use it as a regular ice tray. Save your money, time and freezer space.

READ instructions and reviews - because while worth it!!!
I adore the ice cubes. They are perfect and clear. Now, I will say, I had (and will have) the “MASSIVE CUBE” issue. My review is based on the quality of the amazing cubes. They are stealer. Clear and perfect. I didn’t read the directions the first three times I made cubes. I was confused that there was a giant kaiju cube erupting from all three times. THEN, I read the directions. There is apparently a process I’m too impatient for. But I’m also incredibly willing to admit my failings and not hold that against a great product. Even if you’re like me and use it wrong, 90% of the cubes will be perfect. The 10% that isnt’? I take one for the team and beat it with a hammer in a special sack for a wonderful crushed-ice drink. You’re welcome.

Clear ice for the price
The materials are cheap but this is a niche item, which probably warrants the price. A silicone tray with holes in the bottom, a cheap plastic basin, and foam insulation. It works exactly as described. Just fill and freeze. For best results you should remove the cubes after 20-24 hours. If you let the whole basin freeze it's a pain to separate the block from the tray, and you risk ripping the tray or cracking the plastic basin. I remove the cubes and store them in a metal bowl, which seems to keep them from melting during defrost cycles. If you find that your ice is cracking when making a drink, let the ice temper in the glass for a minute or two before adding your drink.

The white polystyrene case and black insert both tore within 6 months. The quality of the product does not justify the high price as the polystyrene case looks home made. The ice cubes pop out of the black case whilst in the freezer and the polystyrene case sticks to the freezer. Its impossible to get the ice cubes out of the black case out without running under luke warm water. The ice cubes are clear but not worth the hassle.

Crystal clear ice cubes. Sure, you can build this setup at home but who has the time. A few tips - do not force the cubes out, let everything out for a few minutes to loosen up. - some cubes will double in size, its normal, you just get a massive cube with each batch - the insulating material must not be manhandled, its not indestructible - dont store cubes for a ling time, they look best when fresh. Overall, it's a great little gadget that is sure to impress guests.

The lure of crystal clear ice cubes brought me to this purchase. Does a glass of bourbon on the rocks need a crystal clear ice cube? Nope. Is it fun? Sure. What's no fun is the amount of space required (my partner's viewpoint) and the reality that while the cubes do come out looking like a piece of clear glass, they don't stay clear if left in the freezer for more than a week or two. After that, they look like large, cloudy ice cubes that could have been made in a silicone ice cube tray that sells for $6. If making lovely clear ice cubes for special occasions is what you're after, this set-up will do that for you, otherwise, just buy an el cheapo silicone tray and enjoy the libations.
