Open Source DMS Omega – Tone Tweak Success
I installed the Dekoni Foam Attenuation Kit on my Open Source DMS Omega and it worked wonderfully. The variety of foam densities meant I could experiment and hear how each one affected the tone. Installing was straightforward, and the end result was a more comfortable listening experience with high frequencies dialed back just enough. Highly recommend if you want a subtle but effective tuning option.

Excellent and just as advertised
Bought this foam attenuation kit for my DIY pair of DMS Omegas, and it worked just as advertised. Would be handy if there was some labeling as to which foam was what to better differentiate them from eachother. Like instead of saying "use the softest foam that isn't as seethrough as the others" it would be "use the pairs of foam labeled 2." or something.

Not great for AKG K702
The filters are soft and easy to cut. I bought them for my K702 but they didn’t really fix the brightness issue. I used the choice Leather pads from Dekoni plus some eq and that was way better. Would recommend only if headphone has a slight issue with sibilance or brightness.

Great for the treble sensitive
Used the black foam, which seemed to be the densest, as a replacement for the stock dampening pads for my DCA Aeon 2 Noire. I definitely had to flip the gain toggles on my amplifier afterwards, but I'm no longer terrified of these headphones, and I enjoy them significantly more than I used to. Detail was definitely lost, but I'm willing to trade that for a more enjoyable experience.

Good Addition
The product arrived without any physical damage or cosmetic imperfections, From my point of view, if pads have the same width on the part, which touches headphones’ cups as the OEM pads, additional foam is not needed. It can alter/ruin the sound, which makes different headphones’ models for who they are. Since Dekoni pads lack any kind of material on the mentioned part, it is required to put some kind of foam between a cup and a pad. Before I purchased a foam from Dekoni, I used some kind of foam, which is for a particular AKG headphones model with Dekoni sheepskin pads. It was doing a good job in blocking the dominating highs and those, balancing the sound of ATH-M50X, but the pads don’t have any breathability and because of the full leather design, the bass was a bit too powerful. After I used Dekoni foam with Dekoni hybrid pads, I noticed that there is a subtle difference between every type of foam, which comes inside the package. Of course, a mere foam doesn’t make any drastic changes to the sound, but still there is a tiny difference between a black, grey, shiny and specular foams. In the end, I liked the black foam more than others, because it doesn’t alter the sound too much and at the same time balances out the highs and the bass. It would have been perfect if there was an option to purchase a pack of one type of foam instead of all types of foam so that you would have a spare. The variety of foam is good only for situations where you changed the original pads and want to find the headphones’ original sound signature.

Does exactly what I need it to do
I bought this as I was turning my m1060c from monolith into an open back headphone using armattan productions carbon grills. I placed the grey foam behind the grills to give it an amazing look as well as adjust the sound to my preference.

Made 560s's quite okay
The light gray porous foam sheet turned my hd 560s's (purchased used from ebay so a pain to return) from mildly tortuous to fully pretty good, and that's not bad for $150 plus the price of the filter set.

I like AKG headphones. I collect some old AKG junk that I usually have to restore. Do you know what's the first to go? It's either the earpad or the inner foam insert. Former goes bad? You're in luck, aftermarket pads galore! Pick your poiso- I mean replacement and you're good to go! But latter? Oh boy welcome to pain town. Getting original AKG foam pads is not an easy task for an introvert. The individual parts are NOT sold anywhere but by the manufacturer themselves (whom you have to call), or websites with expensive shipping or straight up "No shipping to maple leaf land." Searching for an alternative ain't easy either. For whatever reason there's almost no manufacturer selling foam pieces (except geekia, but they sell almost everything). Unfortunately for me, that foam piece changes the sound signature quite a bit. And here's where these come to the rescue. These aren't like the originals. Not at all... However they give multiple options allowing me to pick the closest, or rather the one I liked most. They look like they'll irritate my ear, but when I put my ear against them, they're actually quite comfortable and not at all scratchy! So, all in all, these are a good alternative to those original pads that are so difficult to find in a convenient manner. Oh they also tame sparkly high notes and loose bass depending on which pad you choose too, a bonus which is actually their intended function. Yes I knew that, stop reminding me.
