I gave my 7th grade art students a "reward" at the end of the school year with the opportunity to go outside and create some chalk art. This box worked great for that! The kids found an adequate range of colors and values to create their masterpieces. I thought the quality of the chalk was fine for the price -- at least half the colors felt very nice and rich, though about half were also more traditional pastel-feeling. But again, for the price I though that the box was an excellent value. For whatever reason the big losers in the box (the ones I had leftover) were orange, green and purple, though our school colors are red and blue so I suspect that played a roll in the color usage. One thing to note is that they give off A LOT of chalk dust -- be prepared for the cleanup and for some very dirty clothes! But I don't think it was a downside to this particular chalk, but rather just a downside for using chalk in a heavy way over large areas. Overall I thought these were great and adequate for about 50 students to make decent-sized sidewalk art pieces. I will purchase these again to do similar projects with students in the future.

This chalk assortment has so many vibrant colors that whatever design or pictures are drawn on the sidewalk will be visible nicely! These are easy to hold as the size is not too big while drawing. So far these pieces have held up and stayed durable while using on the sidewalks and they are smooth to the touch. Not one piece is rough. These are very fun to use with great bold colors and this box is still lasting and is also a great value for the money!

I wanna start by saying I really love that this chalk is non toxic!!! I was staying with people who don’t know how to watch after their pets and they let their dogs get away with eating a couple of stick of chalk. only side effect? RAINBOW POO!!!! the dogs are fine and the colors are great! I used this box to do crafts with my niece and nephews and they loved the variety and the ability to blend without using so much product! will by again if i ever run out

i do chalk designs on brick walls for fun with my kids these chalk will break which is fine but the color profiles are off by a lot! reds are actually pinkish and blacks are grey and their is no blue more like sky blue or baby blue and purple is mauve i think it's fun for the kids tho :) they fade fast in the sun too so keep the box if you dont have a black plastic container like i do. oh if you use them with water the go really fast but the spread is beautiful!

My youngest grandson (10 years old) loves to draw with chalk and so this box 162 chalk box. They are good size to hold and 18 different colors.
