Never in the same place it seems. Usually the back of my head by my scalp line, in my head, or on my arms. Weird! It itches so bad sometimes, I can't help but scratch. Of coarse scratching makes it spread worse, and because I'm 65 now, and my skin is thinning, it will leave scars.....Ugh,,,so I needed something to help. It does help the rash to go away, but it takes a few days. It is very thick and only takes a small amount, so it should last a while. You have to squeeze hard to get it out, as it is so thick.
