It is well made with good contact and should eliminate any twisting of the camera. Everything on the camera is accessible with the plate attached with the exception of the battery. The plate will have to come off for that when it becomes necessary. The plate is oriented to the camera 90 degree to what I am used to. The dovetails on all my other plates run perpendicular to the lens. This plate has the dovetails parallel to the lens, requiring the camera to be mounted on the tripod 90 degrees to any other camera I have. Not a big problem, just different.If you use a lever clamp you could have a problem if the clamp can't be adjusted for differences in plate dimensions. This plate has the standard 1.5" width but the T width of the dovetails is shorter than any other plate I have, including the RRS L-bracket.Seemed a bit expensive at first, but after considering the options, like universal and other custom fit plates, this looked like the best choice.
