This is about the applicator, not the steamer. (No interest in the steamer because I have a different one. Anyway...)I've tried three other applicators, and none quite worked despite them being advertised as for discs (not cups). This one, although a little snug for larger discs (lubricant helps this), works perfectly and as designed.This is the only applicator I will ever need, so I brought a second one in case something happens to my first one.

I got this disc inserter to go with some generic discs. I was grateful I found both for a reasonable price. I didn’t receive the inserter until after my period ended, so i got the hang of manual insertion and understanding how to use a disc. I have to say it does make inserting a lot quicker, but I haven’t used it enough times yet to see how the material resists odor. I was surprised to see that the pusher has a hollow end, where moisture/water might get trapped. I cannot understand why it wouldn’t work with a solid surface, and it’s not visible from the item pictured. I simply use a baby safe unscented dish soap to wash after each use. Will update on the potential for moisture retention.

I personally think this is a very discreet design because it looks just like a humidifier or essential oil steamer. It's pretty and I just keep it out on my bathroom counter. The cups that come with the steamer have an odd plastic smell but work well. I use the steamer for the DivaCup instead. A pretty pouch comes with the cups that can be used to store your menstrual cup. I did not like that the steamer does not stay off after auto-shut off. It kicks back on in the next few minutes if you keep the button activated. Accidentally left it on all night with a cup inside and surprisingly didn't burn the cup to a crisp. Gunk does get left on the pan from the cups so be sure to wipe it out with alcohol wipes or a warm cloth.

Got this to help inserting a Nuvaring birth control. Made it so easy. The ring fit perfectly in the applicator. 👍

Love this! Super discreet, looks like a diffuser and gets my cups super clean. I feel so much better about using my menstrual cups with this.

This product is great, it can just be hard to initially push a disc out. I use the Salt disc and after 1-2 uses it stretches out and works better! Definitely makes it easier to insert :)

Got this to try a disc for the first time because I was nervous about how hard it might. This makes it easier to insert to make sure you're getting it back all the way. I dont think I would have put it back far enough the first time if I didnt use this because I was shocked at how far back it went. Easy to insert and easy to clean.
