Men's Viking Helmet

I'm the guy in the middle in the picture I shared. I had to cut one of the horns in half to make it work for my Halloween costume, which was sad to do. But, it's also part of why I chose this helmet in particular because I read that it was made of a sort of mushy material. This is true. It's not hard and it's not so soft that it looks fake. It suited my needs just fine. It stayed on my head great when I didn't add the wig, but once I added the wig it was falling off constantly. I don't think this is a fault with the helmet though. Just something to note if you're considering this for your Halloween costume too. I ended up taping it to my head/wig, which helped somewhat.

Perfect. Apparently this company reads reviews because the horns came stuffed with foam and stick out nicely. The cap is not wrinkled. It is a bit large and I have a large head but not so large that it would fall off. Better large than too small! My 3 year old grandson is delighted. He'll be dressed as Toothless. He wants me to walk with him as a Viking.

I had read the reviews and knew it was rubber and needed to be reshapped. I stuffed plastic grocery bags into the horns and newspaper into the bowl of the helm. It's probably sized for the maximum size it needs so that "one size fits all". I like the appearance and it will be fine for my costume. If they were able to add something like an adjustable liner it would be better - but I'm not holding my breath. Arrived on time.. etc. etc..

Not really remotely a helmet. A flat piece of cheap rubber. As a descendent of the Vikings, I can tell you wouldn’t have been nearly as fierce sons or invincible had we worn flat pieces of rubber on our heads.

This is a nice looking costume helmet, completely made of a rubber material. The silver finish gives it a vintage look, and there is texturing on the actual "hat" portion. The helmet arrived promptly and looked good right out of the box. The horns stand up nicely on their own. Some reviewers suggested stuffing them to additional firmness. (I tried that, and it did firm the horns up a bit -- but is not really necessary.) I did find the fit to be quite large for me. I am a 5'3" woman, and my hat size is average. Although I planned to wear the helmet with a wig, it was still a bit large, and I was concerned about it falling off if I looked down. To alleviate my concerns, I hot glued a strip of rubber window weather-stripping all the way around the inside rim of the helmet. This was a quick and easy "fix". Now the rubber weather stripping ring holds the helmet very snuggly on my head.

This item is very soft and flimsy. I hoped it would be plastic and firm. My son loved it and he said that he proffered it to be a flimsy rubber.

We had read in a helpful review that this helmet is somewhat large and we needed it for an adult with a large head so we knew that it would be perfect and it is. We had also read that the horns were bent, and they were, but the attached card said to use a hairdryer to fix that. We did and then stuffed the horns with poly fill to keep them stiff without adding weight. The helmet is made of a rubbery substance, so it looks like metal without being heavy, and it fits nicely. We're very pleased with this helmet.

Bought as a novelty for my dad that was in the hospital. It was an amazing success as everyone wanted to try it on and have their picture taken. Very good quality and soft to put on

I was disappointed by the product. I thought it would be a hard helmet. It was material, folded and soft and needs to be stretched and adjusted to your head. I thought it was going to be different. Not worth this price. I could've gone to a local cheap shop to get a cheap imitation such as this. I thought I was paying for a better quality product.

Even being a rubbery imitation it still looked better than most other helmets. I tried and liked another reviewers suggestion of putting a strip of foam insulation around inside forehead to get the fit just right. Thanks.

So one other review said it was big and they had a big head, I disagree, It is a bit small but can squeeze on my head. One other note this is foam hat not hard plastic
