Voodoo Lab Control Switcher MIDI Amp Commander

If you are a guitar player that uses a channel switching amp with a MIDI capable rack mount type affects processor, then this control switcher is the way to go to make the amp channel switching and effect processor patch changes at the same time. This control switcher connects to a midi foot controller then to your amp's footswitch jack(s) via standard 1/4 inch cables and will allow pretty much any amp with footswitch jack inputs to be controlled by a MIDI foot controller. It is fairly easy to program if you read and follow the directions carefully. With my rig (Behringer FCB1010, Bugera TriRec amp head, and Digitech GSP1101 effects processor), I'm able to change amp channels and patches on the GSP1101 at the simultaneously by only tapping on one switch on the FCB1010. It can control up to 4 footswitch capable changes on your amp. With the Bugera TriRec head, I use this control switcher to switch between the three channels on the amp and the amp's boost function. As far as I know this is the only way to switch an analog amp via MIDI and it works well if set up properly.

Works really well with my Mesa Road king. I use this with a Boss ES-8 to switch the primary channels. It only has 4 channes so I dont get it for loops or solo but I dont want that either. You could do a second if that is what you want but at that point I would say get the rjm amp gizmo. Great and small. Had to ask for help from support to program but that was because I wasnt to clear on the midi part. Unit is small, compact and easy to use. I highly recommend for any 4 channel amp. You could also use it to go between multiple amps, say two marshall 900s.

This is the best device I've purchased in a long time. It enabled my old 2000 Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier to be controlled remotely with just about any MIDI controller available. I am now able to switch channels with a single MIDI cable from my TC Electronic Nova system, my Kemper Stage or my BOSS ES-5 pedal switcher. It works like a charm, its compact and sturdy. highly recommended.

Works great w Bogner 3534, integrates with my midi system for channel switching the amp and using the Boost function.

What a godsend. Nice small footprint. It's really easy to set up even for a guy just learning midi. Quality metal housing. I would buy another one if this one ever died, but, I don't think that will be a problem. Absolutely recommend this product.

I got this to control the channels on my Mesa-Boogie Dual Rectifier amp from my MIDI controller. It took a while to figure out the programming and I actually had to go to the VooDoo Labs online forum to get some help. But once I got it down, it hasn't let me down. Great option for anyone who uses MIDI gear but doesn't have a MIDI controllable amp.

You have to dig a little to understand how this works, but once you do this is easy to program.

Needed something to control my Mesa Boogie Roadster channel switching via my Fender Switchboard, while also maintaining all current routes and effect parameters. This little contraption does the job just fine! Easy setup for running Programs 1 - 4, once you figure out what functionality you do need to use to run your particular amp. In fact, the manual is pretty straight forward and to the point, the extra Googling was finding out what my finicky amp was going to accept, lol. I will be purchasing a second unit to control FX Loop, Reverb and Solo. I was starting to miss my EVH 5150III 50 Stealth because it had built in MIDI and, thus I didn’t have to tap dance effects and channels but now…the more evil sounding amp no longer require Charlie Chaplin like shenanigans to get the job done! Thank you to VooDoo Lab for bringing MIDI functionality to a 2007 Mesa, I so appreciate it!

Works Great between my Line6 Pod HD ProX and Mesa Recto Verb 25 Rackmout. Every show.

Works great and easy to use (once I followed the instructions for initial setup). The power light doesn't work. Maybe I could send it back but not worth it to do that. Otherwise it's doing a great/consistent job.
