The glass is clear, but it can get slightly foggy over time from the oil fumes - very much cleanable with dish soap though, so not complaining. My one and only issue is that the centre hole for the cotton wick has not been drilled cleanly, so inserting the wick can be slightly tricky. I expected more from borosil. But overall very satisfied with this purchase - I don’t think there is a Diya available in the US better than this one.
