I ordered it on advice from my daughter to help with sharp muscular and joint pain. I found it does indeed help quell the pain so I ordered a second unit to upgrade her aging TENS device. So I liked it well enough to order a second identical unit. Cons: I know it's a safety function, but it is a little frustrating to have to cycle through all the modes to the desired mode when the mode button is pushed by mistake. Also, it is easy to forget turning the on/off button off after a session when putting away.
