Clip top BLUMOTION Hinge Kit (1 Kit), Full Overlay, 110° Opening Angle, Steel, Soft Close Euro-Style Hinges with Clip Mounting Plate for Frameless Cabinets

I bought 3 sets of these for a "Besta" Ikea TV stand. We somehow didnt remember to grab the IKEA hinges when we picked everything else in-store. These appear much more durable and trustable than IKEA hardware. I chose these because reddit posts recommended these and I could purchase from Amazon cheaper than making another trip to the store and paying for theirs. With very little effort (minimal drilling), these work great! It was easy to align the mounts. I only had to adjust one door to be flush with the others, but that was also easy and took less than 30 seconds to turn 2 screws.

After the hinges on my girlfriends desk broke i thought we were going to have to buy a new one however, this kit was an exact match and exactly what i needed. Same great quality as the original hinges and over a year later of almost daily use they are still holding up strong. Great value for your dollar. And super easy to install even for a novice.

These cabinet hinges are Blum model number 71B355-0102, and the mounts included are model number 175L660-01B22. The mount is about as low as it can be, so the cabinet door will have more overlay than a higher mount like the 175L663-01B22 which is about 3 mm taller, which moves the hinge and cabinet door away from the face frame edge where the hinge attaches. You can adjust the overlay slightly using the adjusting screw on the hinge, the one closer to the pivot pins, which will affect the angle of the door as well, or the gap between doors. The screw closer to the tail of the hinge adjusts the fore and aft position of the door so you can adjust the gap between the door and the face frame. You attach the hinge onto the mount by first hooking the hinge onto the front of the mount and then snapping the rear of the hinge onto the rear of the mount. There is a small locking tab at the rear of the hinge you can press to release the hinge body. It would be nice if an instruction sheet was included, but I think you can find instructions on line from Blum which you'll need for a new install. I used these to replace old hinge, so installation was simple. Each hinge has a small switch to turn the soft close on or off. I really like these soft close Blumotion hinges. No more banging cabinet doors!

After 20+ years, one hinge on a cabinet failed (that is, it no longer pulled the door tightly against the frame). Using the model number stamped on the side of the hinge, I was able to identify this hinge as an update to the hinge that failed. Keeping my fingers crossed, I ordered it and am happy to say it installed perfectly using the old mounting bracket and the existing pocket on the door. The upgrade adds a "soft-close" feature which pulls to door tight to the frame over about a second... no bang. To get the soft-close functionality, you only need one hinge, so I am thinking of replacing one hinge on all my other cabinet doors.

Not much to say about these except they are Blum homes and are the quality you would expect. I’ve installed toms of these and they are nice and have great adjustment. I’ll keep buying them as long as they keep selling them. I’ve tried the cheap ones and they just don’t compare. Pay the extra mo eh and use these. You won’t be disappointed.

As of this writing, the item name says "Blum CLIP top BLUMOTION Soft-Close Hinges..." However, the hinges I received and the item photo are not BLUMOTION and not soft-close. I confirmed this with Blum (the manufacturer), who could tell by the photo they were not soft-close.

One hinge was so badly bent that I couldn’t install it. Also the mounting plates that were sent were not the ones pictured.

The Product was Excellent and we had no problem once installed.
