I’ve been using the Lucas Low Viscosity Oil Stabilizer (12 oz) in my vehicle for a few oil changes now, and the results have been consistently positive. If you’re looking to improve engine performance and protection—especially in smaller engines or high-mileage vehicles—this product is worth considering. What I Like: Improved Cold Starts: This additive really helps during cold starts. My engine runs smoother on startup, with less hesitation and noise—especially on chilly mornings. Reduces Friction & Wear: It seems to reduce engine noise slightly and helps the oil cling better to engine parts, which is especially important for older engines or in high-RPM conditions. Great for Light-Weight Oils: Because it’s low viscosity, it blends easily with 5W-20 and 0W-20 oils without making the mixture too thick. It doesn’t affect oil pressure or flow. Versatile Use: Works well in cars, motorcycles, and even small engines like lawn mowers. I’ve even used it in a high-mileage sedan and noticed slightly improved throttle response. 🛠️ Tips for Use: Add it during oil changes—usually around 10-20% of your total oil volume is a good ratio. Shake the bottle before use, and pour it in slowly after draining old oil and adding your new oil. Overall Verdict: Lucas Low Viscosity Oil Stabilizer is a great tool to extend engine life, reduce wear, and keep your oil doing its job longer. It’s easy to use, affordable, and delivers noticeable benefits—especially if your engine is showing signs of age or you want added protection. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to give their engine a little extra care without switching oils or using thick additives.

I love Lucas oil products. I just bought a mint 04 Deville with low miles, but, ALL of the miles seemed to have been in-town, slow, stop and go driving and a LOT of time in the garage unused. Nothing will hurt a Cadillac northstar worse than this, they need to breathe so the engine is dirty. Even after a Mobile 1 annual oil change, when first started, it sounded rough and and a dieseling noise for the first 5 min or so. After the Lucas oil and a couple of high RPM runs on the highway - a couple hundred miles of driving - sound is almost completely gone. I recommend this, the transmission lubricant, the fuel injector cleaner and LOVE the octane boost which is NOT kidding. Others are great also, but these are my standards and use consistently in all of my vehicles. Not related to this product, but also Mobile 1 Performance or EP 15k oil, my cars run like new and make so much difference.

It makes my engine (a 3.5L Hyundai Sigma V6 in my 2002 XG350L) run a lot smoother & I've noticed a little bit better response & quieter start-ups. I combined this with Engine Restore, the stuff you see on the shelves everywhere. The combo is a match made in Heaven, since the Lucas makes an excellent carrier for Restore. Engine runs butter smoothe even at higher (3k-5k) than your average daily rpms. I don't push my engine any higher than 4k-rpms really. I want it to last, and I'm still cleaning out the laziness of the 1 prior owner. They didn't change the oil as often as they should've.

I have found that many oil additives are thick. Like the old types that they have. But the Oils in the cars today have a lower viscosity or thickness . This additive as indicated is a lower viscosity and works well with newer motors. I have found that I still use the original products. For my older, classic cars and trucks Including lawn mowers. Another quality product from Lucas.
