I wanted to post a review to confirm the other reviewer who stated this does not match the description. It was advertised as the 6 inch being the MAX FLEX option. This is not. You'll receive the MEDIUM FLEX knife. Outside of that, I did test it side by side with a MAX FLEX knife and I thought it was still nearly equally flexible. I like the handle a lot (very grippy and good shape), and the blade guard fits very well. perfect for keeping in the bottom of your tackle box and not worrying about coming loose. It was sharp out of the box. I think it was a great buy for the price. I read so many suggestions and Dexter was one of the top repeated suggestions, saying that fishermen and fisheries use these. I'd buy again!

Not flexible. I’ve never bought a filet knife online before till now, and won’t make that mistake again. It’s clearly a nice knife, but for what I needed it for I just butchered my perch filets. If you are filleting smaller fish, and need flex in your blade this is not the knife. I should have read the reviews, Dexter makes quality products but this model does not suit what I needed it for.

Was hoping to use it for panfish but definitely not flexible enough and blade isn't thin enough. Knife seems nice but not what I was looking for

The Knife Did Not Perform as Expected because it was supposed to be a very flexible fillet knife. The knife I received was not very flexible.

This knife is too big for smaller fish. (bluegill, crappies, yellow perch, other panfish etc.) Bass and catfish were perfectly sized for this knife. It takes an edge easily. The rounded tip made it MUCH easier to cut around the rib cage vs a more typical pointed fillet knife. It's got some good flex which made taking the skin off a total breeze. The handle has got some good texture and I never felt like it would slip out of my hand.

Not a big deal, but I am only using it in fresh water. It would probably be much worse if around salt water. It has a great grip.

Very long wait on shipping. In addition, description said 6” was max flexibility. The 6” fillet knife I received says medium flex. Not what I wanted and I waited weeks to receive it.

False advertising !! Is not the max flex it is only medium , very disappointed !
