You get better performance with the hp batteries but it still works with the regular lithium ion batteries. Cheers! **Q: Why does not fit my impact socket? My other compressor wrench works. I added this to my "just in case" box in both of my vehicles. It easily broke away lug nuts torqued to 80 and 95 foot pounds. You can tell it has power just from pulling the trigger.
