I’ve used this on countless occasions between work at home or on the job, from being under the car doing an oil change to demolition jobs at work. Needless to say, it’s worth every penny. The magnet backing is very strong and easily one of the biggest perks of this Bluetooth speaker. As you can see from my review picture, I was on a demo job which was on a roof and by water which increased the wind flow. Yet, the speaker stayed on cut handrail and didn’t move unless touched or pulled off without being fully placed on a sturdy backplate. Also, fall damage is excellent! It accidentally took a fall from a high reach which was a good 20ft in the air and only ended up with minor cosmetic damage. The battery life lasts exceptionally well, used it for a full 8 hour day and only lost one bar while it being on max volume. A minor con, is if you’re around fairly heavy power tools or operating equipment, don’t expect to hear much for the duration of what you’re doing. A sawzall alone is enough to drown out the sound. All in all, if you’re looking for something that will last, be versatile in any spot you’re working as far as placement. This is what you’re looking for, compact, personal radio, and it also daisy chains to other Klein speakers as well for longer range and higher quality sound.

I bought this as a gift for my husband. He is a mechanic and works in a very noisy environment. This speaker is able to rise above the noise and has held up in a rough environment very well so far. Connects easily to his android phone and the sound quality is really great considering it's size. Definitely money well spent! My son has now bought one for his job and it connects to his Apple phone just as easily.

This little speaker is perfect inside a 2 car garage or working out in the yard. Ok, it's not hi-fidelity and there is no bass but if you just want some tunes or talk radio while working then this is fine. I'm happy with some music while doing handyman chores. The built-in magnet sticks to the ROPS of my tractor and stays put. You can not hear it good while operating the tractor. Indoors this is plenty. Outdoors the volume fades fast. If you want this little speaker to feel twice it's size put it in the tractor bucket. Just remember to remove it before scooping up some dirt. (Yes, I learned from experience.) The battery really does last all day long, and then some, at 70% volume. Longer than I care to work in the Gulf Coast heat. Well worth the money.

Even after 4.5 months of daily use, I still have no flaws to speak of. I’ll try to explain the aspects that people might be interested in: Sound: plenty loud and crisp in loud work environments. It’s not overly leaning towards bass, or treble, it’s not muffled in any way. All your songs will sound exactly as you’re used to hearing them. Battery life: insanely impressive. I typically keep the battery between 50-75% (to prevent long-term degradation of the lithium ion batteries) and at most I only ever top up to 75% from 50% once per day during a 12-14 hour shift. This easily lasts 24 hours from 100%. Magnet strength/overall speaker durability: I left this attached to a vehicle while I went driving on-road and off-road for an entire day. I didn’t even think about retrieving it until the following day. Everything still worked beautifully. Overall, it’s a 10/10. If I manage to break this one, I’ll be buying another. My only hope is that Amazon recommends this to more people, so people are more likely to get a better product for less money *cough cough* JBL

Alls good except the bass response. Maybe at upper level volumes it will be better? They may have sacrificed bass reflex for a larger battery.

BUY BUY BUY! If you’re looking for a Bluetooth speaker I recommend this one. We have two. We went through a lot of other small speakers but this one has been proven durable…. And my husband does a lot of construction and outside work. Perfect size to carry around anywhere and travel with. Perfect for the beach!! And the sound is amazing and loud! You definitely get your moneys worth with this speaker!

This is my second Klein speaker. I previously had the AEPJS2 for three years. Three years of blasting music all day every day at 70%+ volume. It was melted by weld slag, dipped in galvanizing paint, dropped off commercial buildings, you name it. I couldn't kill it. Sound quality remained good for about two years before the speaker finally started distorting. So far with the new speaker, the build quality seems to be the same standard as well the same good-enough sound quality. This one is SO much louder though. I appreciate the new functions on the button panel as well (namely Next and Previous track). Although it is quite a bit larger, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, I just preferred the size of the JS2 much more. I also miss the multipurpose strap of that speaker. This one has two separate instead of one large magnet. The hanging clip seems to serve the same purpose though. As far as volume, I can hear the JS3 clearly over machinery at about half volume; whereas the JS2 could barely be heard over a boom lift at full volume. TL;DR: Good sound quality, loud, seems invincible, great interface.

This is the first portable speaker I have bought. I needed something with decent battery life, magnets, and good audio quality. This unit fit the bill. I am actually surprised at how clear the audio is from this. I typically listen to the radio on a cheap boom box or directly from my iPhone. The clarity of this is so much better songs literally sounded different because I could hear things that were muffled before. It doesn’t have much bass, and I am fine with that because I rather have clean sound. It also stays clean at max volume, which isn’t super loud but more than enough for me. Battery life is excellent. It paired immediately with no issues either. Definitely worth the money.

Really happy with this speaker, super well made and works well for small areas for sound.
