Krud Kutter Waste Paint/Colorant Hardener

Great for disposing of unwanted left over paint. Easy to use and does the job

I had a bunch of paint to harden doing a house/shed cleanout. This stuff worked pretty well and fast, but is pretty pricey.

Forget stirring in kitty litter. This stuff is awesome. You pour this in latex paint, stir it in and within a half hour the paint is hardened enough to throw in the trash. I generally leave it to air dry 24 hours but if you are on a time line this stuff is great. I don't know if it works on stain , varnish etc. If your cans of paint are only partially full, you can probably get away with just using half an envelope. I used it on Latex paint- no sure if it will work on oil based paint

I purchased two of these, as I had 1 gallon (2/3) full, and 1 quart of paint to dry. The package says that it will dry up to 2/3 gallon of paint, so the two packages should have been more than enough. I put an entire package in the (not full) gallon, and half of the 2nd package in the quart of paint. The quart dried fairly well, but the 2/3 gallon was not even close to hard and still wasn't hard after putting in the other 1/2 of the 2nd package. Disappointed in this product. Should have just bought kitty litter.

I had some old latex paint that couldn't be stirred up enough to use anymore (about 1/3 of a gallon.) I stirred in one packet of Krud Kutter and it was completely hardened up within minutes! It really works. Now I can dispose of the paint in my trash with no trouble. I'm sure I will be using this again.
