Will this remove burs or other sticky plants from long fur? Or is it better to just cut them out

Photos show it right handed and others left handed, which is it? pls do not answer that you can use it for both. I am a cat breeder and I know u can't

It is meant to be used with the right hand - there are curved "teeth" and if you held it in your left hand the teeth would be going the wrong direction. But I suppose you could make it work with your left hand by holding it "backwards".

Can the teeth be reversed?

No, for safety reasons the teeth are not removable. You can brush/comb with either hands & either way.

can i cut my cat with this tool? how safe is it?

The teeth are not sharp - I don't think you could harm you cat with it. It does tug if the mats are tight - it's helpful to have someone hold the cat while you use the tool
