Well made and robust enough for a heavy workbench
Bought these for a workbench which has quite a lot of weight to it with all my power tools etc. Easy to fit using the supplied template and they work really well. I would only echo some of the points in the other reviews - dump the supplied screws and also they do take a while to assemble. It would be nice if they came preassembled and tightened but I guess that would add to the cost.

Excellent castors
The castors are easy to fit, the drilling template is an excellent idea, they appear very robust and when deployed my workbench (even fully loaded) glides around the floor, well worth the money. Very impressed.

Use your own fixings!
The product is for use on a large heavy Sjobergs carpentry bench. The build quality is superb and they are really heavy-duty , BUT there are 3 issues: First, do not use the supplied fixing screws, they can break off in hardwood unless carefully drilled and the cross-head drive is inadequate for the job. Get your own screws but for a heavyweight table you should think about through-drilling and using 4off 6mm bolts per mounting plate. The drillings are consistent from plate to plate and there is no slack around a 6mm bolt in the fixing holes. Second hardware problem is the supplied bolts that act as pivots for the caster support arm and the lever. These have M6 threads and appropriate hex heads BUT the shank is only 5.3 mm in diameter and they are sloppy in the 6mm holes, causing some inconsistencies in the effect of the levers. Get properly sized M6 bolts to fit the 6mm drillings. These bolts are load-carrying bearings after all, and the supplied bolts could be said to have some wear already built in! Finally DO NOT TRUST THE TEMPLATE, it is woefully inaccurate and you could end up with holes in the wrong place and a bench that either won't sit down or cant get up! Assemble a complete castor and try it out on a dummy leg [piece of 3" by 2" cut off squarely] to establish what's right for your table. I ended up with a running clearance of less than 10mm. Aim for anything more and the bench may not sit down properly, or if it tries to, this puts undue stress on the lever mechanism. GET IT RIGHT< USE QUALITY HARDWARE, DO YOUR OWN MEASUREMENTS, and you will not be disappointed

Very sturdy castors.
I bought these to allow me to move my heavy workbench around my workshop, they come with an accurate template for where you need to drill the holes, just line the bottom of the card up with the bottom of the leg you want to attach the castor to and drill some holes, very easy to fit.

Very good.
I made a drum kit platform and used these to be able to raise it and move it around. They did the job superbly.

Makes heavy workbench easy to move when required
Easy to fit. Easy to use. Allows the workbench legs to rest on the ground while it is being used. And then easily lifted onto the wheels when it needs to be moved. Previously I just had the bench on casters, but that meant it could wobble or move when being used. These items are great.

Good, but exceptionally poor quality screws
The unit itself is great - sturdy and does the job. The screws provided are hopeless though - three of the heads deformed with the first caster I installed, meaning the need to use a screw extractor to remove and replace them (this was after drilling pilot holes for the screws too!). All in all it's a really good product, but is let down by really cheap and poor quality screws - save yourself hassle and just use your own decent quality screws instead. Also save yourself time by not assembling them all before attempting to install - assemble one so you can get alignment right, but then leave the other 3 brackets which attach to timber legs of your bench unassembled - otherwise parts of the assembly get in the way when attaching it to the timber.

Strong
This product is very strong and fit for purpose I strongly recommend this product it does exactly what I need and at an affordable price. I did not receive any form of payment for this review I just believe that if a product is so good it deserves a good review.

Retractable Caster Kit for Workbench
Everything in my workshop except my lathe, is on casters, that includes my Milling Machine. My 44"x80" bench is now that last piece of equipment to has the ability to roll into a new position if needed. I designed and built my workbench in my shop while working on a Star Trek the Next Generation so it can travel to the next location or job site with ease. The bench was always intended to have some sort of caster system but not one where it rested on the wheels all the time. The selection of this casters system was specific to the weight the bench carries (ie; Oak machinist tool chest at 300lbs, surface plate at 60lbs, bend/brake at 60lbs, lower self storage at 200lbs, the bench itself at 80lbs and whatever tooling or work that is on the bench at the time). According to the specifications of the casters, I am at the casters limit, yet when I engage them and roll the bench about the shop, it floats like a breeze. The assembly and installation was super simple but I "did not" use the supplied screws to mount the caster plates to the bench legs. Instead I drilled the legs and used 2 1/2" 1/4-20 bolts with lock nuts to secure the caster plate to the legs. Wood screws always give out eventually, so with the weight of the bench and the load it carries the last thing I would want is a caster to give way while it is moving. The supplied hole pattern guide was very helpful to make a jig for drilling the holes through the leg, so if one uses the supplied screws, the guide is super handy to set the height of the screw pattern every time. The best thing to remember when installing this system is to install the main plate first, then the hinge pieces with the wheels. If you are disabled like I am and are going to use the 24 bolts rather than screws, the best way to install is the assemble the plate to the hinge pieces, mount to the legs of the bench and install the wheels last. Another small tip is to use "CAR WAX" in the areas where the hinge arm meets the caster swing arm to reduce friction. It makes engaging and then retracting the casters much easier. For the fantastic price, and the good construction of this caster system, I was extremely impressed with the quality, easy of installation and the tooling supplied to help attach the actual caster to the swing arm. If you have a bench that you need a caster system for, this is the choice to make.... period. Note: Once the casters are installed and engaged, be sure to check the stability of your bench legs. If a bench leg or legs seem to wiggle/sway where it meet the bench top as it moves, you need to brace the legs with an angle bracket of some sort as I did to avoid the legs collapsing.

Impeccable

High Quality Casters
My workshop is in the garage so I constantly have to move things around. I'd been looking for a long time at trying to make regular casters work for my table saw, mitre stand and band saw and never found anything I liked. I saw these and decided to order a set, They worked so well I ordered two more. I got the 660 pound version and they work great. The construction is heavy duty and they work perfectly. One indication of quality is the fasteners. The wood screws didn't strip out at all and the bolts and nylon insert castle nuts are substantial. Each set included the exact number of fasteners needed! The wheels are first class. The only thing I would ding are the instructions - not the best. Take your time and study the pictures and you'll be okay

great casters
work great, easy to install, easy to use. what I really like about these casters is that when they are up the bench sets down onto the floor so there is no movement on the table. when they are up the table rolls easily.
