I would buy it again and again
I have 7 Emile Henry pieces now and I love them all, you really can’t go wrong. The all perform as promised, I have not used this bread/potato pot for potatoes but I do use it to make sourdough Bread 2-3 times a week. I prefer this pot to the bread cloche since it’s smaller and easier to handle, I love the texture of the bread that comes out of the piece. Since the bowl is round and can withstand temperature change I let it proof in the fridge then it goes straight into the oven, one less bowl to clean. I also love that the interior is all glazed, I find that the glaze makes clean up easier and keeps the pot looking new and he red is beautiful. I believe I got this when it was on sale for $99, I think it was worth every penny, I really don’t use my bread cloche anymore for my round loaves. The cons are that it is more fragile than cast iron and my first one arrived with a broken handle but now that it has been replaced it is perfect. I would like another one in my future.

I really recommend this if you can handle the price tag and bake a fair amount of bread.
After six months and countless loaves of bread I must say that I’m very satisfied. The red is gorgeous though it turns a darker burgundy when heated. Goes right back to the original color when it’s cooled. This Dutch oven is fairly heavy and feels solid and substantial like the passing-down-generations oven it is. OK Cut to the chase - it cooks bread beautifully and consistently with a perfect crust. I really recommend this if you can handle the price tag and bake a fair amount of bread.

My best vessel for sourdough bread
This is my best pan for baking sourdough bread so good I bought a second one. It’s makes the perfectly shaped loaf I have 10 other baking vessels which are too heavy like cast iron which I have retired. This EH is by far the best pan I have it doesn’t burn and the shape is perfect. It cleans up nicely even burned on places .it’s very durable I love them .

Makes Excellent Bread
I am getting rid of my bread machine as making bread in these pots are so superior in both taste and texture. If you plan on only using it as a bread pot I wouldn’t do the milk curing step. It was so difficult to clean up and left permanent dark marks on the bottom that won’t come off. If I had to do it over, I would use the Japanese method of cooking glutinous rice to cure instead, you can find YouTube videos on that if you look up donabe. I tried cooking fingerling yams but it came out watery and tasteless, I don’t know if it was the quality of the yams or due to the cooking process so that was a fail. I’ll attempt with regular potato’s next time. BUT baking bread in this pot was my primary purpose for purchasing this item an it turns out wonderful crusty, tasty bread with a chewy, soft interior. Make sure you find a good recipe, many use too much yeast. I like the no knead breads overnight or if baking same day I use only a rounded 1/2 teaspoon of yeast to 3 cups bread flour but give it a long first rise and a second one. I use this pot at least once or twice a week.

What a difference it makes
I was beginning to think I needed a new oven. I've been making sourdough and no matter what I tried it always was too dark on the bottom. I use the book Flour Water Salt Yeast and it mentioned Emile Henry pans. So I finally decided to try it. Wow what a difference. The first loaf came out perfectly. Now they all do and I don't need a new oven!!! So excited to share my bread without being embarrassed over the bottom. Cookie sheets and baking stones didn't make a difference with my Dutch ovens. Now I don't need them either

Worth it
Love it! Helps create a nice, dark crisp loaf! It’s super easy to clean and not too heavy, which helps when pulling it out of the oven. The reason why I bought it is because the website says you can preheat it empty in the oven. Other dutch ovens i’ve seen give a warning about that. Also, mine changes color to a darker red when it’s baking and it freaked me out at first. But after doing some research that’s what it’s suppose to do, so don’t worry!

Emile Henry: Great for bread and root vegetables.
I like this product, quite a bit. I've used it as a veggie pot, both on the stovetop and in the oven, and I've used it to make bread. It's light, much lighter than my dutch oven, so that makes me quite happy when making bread. My only quibble is using it on the stovetop to cook root vegetables. As others have mentioned, I've had issues while "flipping" the pot. There is quite a bit of water that spatters over the cooktop after the first flip, so be prepared. It makes a mess and can burn if you aren't. But other than that, I've been happy with it.

Fantastic!
Great for baking no knead bread. Looks great for potatoes too. Added note: very little sticks to the surface, so just a wipe with a damp dish cloth and done/put away.

Bad fit
The top does not fit tightly to the bottom: it rocks back and forth. Happens in both positions (180 degrees apart). Steam escapes through the gap, defeating its purpose for baking bread. Emile Henry has been making ceramic cookware for 150+ years.... but hasn't figured out how to keep their products from warping?

La mejor hogaza de pan
Excelente producto no solo para pan quedan super las hogazas de pan también sirve para multiples platillos que requiren un lento y uniforme cocimiento.

The pot was well packed and delivered in good condition.
Using it to bake bread, the pot is light as compared to cast iron pots. Greatly appreciate the good efforts taken by Seller to prevent it from being broken during delivery 👍👍👍 Likely to buy again. This is the first Emile Henry pot received intact. The previous EH pot was broken during delivery due to poor packing.

Bella da vedersi ma soprattutto il top della sua categoria
Arrivata in tempi rapidi. Consiglio.
