This thing is bangin for a gas line superior quality like I never seen before

I replaced a 1/2-inch gas line with a 3/4-inch one on my outdoor water heater — the whole job took less than 10 minutes from grabbing my tools to testing for leaks. The installation was straightforward. I applied tape to both the water heater and gas side connections, following the instructions that advised against using it on the fittings. No leaks at all, and the fit was perfect. The water heater is running just as it should. I’ll post an update later on how the new line holds up. My previous one started to rust, but this new line is supposed to be more durable — time will tell.

Worked exactly as I intended. The build quality is good! I used it in a tight space to turn 180 degrees, and then another 90 degrees. The 2' length was perfect for my application. Absolutely no leaks. Pipe dope on the threads that attach to the existing black pipe. Do NOT put anything on the tapered threads. Easy installation with some basic hand tools and a little knowledge. I would recommend this product.

First one arrived. Hooked it up to my tankless. It leaked. Tightened it. It leaked. Tightened than I think flare fitting should be tightened. Still leaked. Took it off and very carefully applied yellow Teflon tape to the face of thee flare. Tightened normally. No leak, but not comfortable with that solution. Requested a replacement which shipped and arrived fairly quickly. New one does not leak. If it does leak I’ll get some Nylog White and skim a little on the face of the flare, but did not want to leave yellow tape on there. As an aside I examined the first one that leaked and could detect no obvious imperfection that would cause the leake. The face of stainless tube flare is not very wide so there’s only a small amount of contact with male fitting…. 2 stars off for the hassle and add back 1 star for the easy exchange process.

Not sure if this was a mistake, but they actually sent me two hoses which I am grateful that I have an extra pair for maintenance down the road. Came with both male threaded adapters and female threaded adapters. This was perfect for my 155k BTU tankless unit. Leak tested and been using for over a month no problems at all. Definitely appreciate this cost compared to what they ask at the big box stores Just remember this is going to need a 3/4 in pipe thread for connections
