I needed to check my battery to see if alternator was working. No issues. Served its purpose. Worth the little money if all you need is basic. Good tool to have in the tool box.

Lost the one that I had for years needed one in a pinch while on vacation in Florida. This one was the cheapest with decent ratings. I do agree it's great for the value came charged with batteries worked right out of the bag. You can do DC or AC which is nice. It has lots of different functions. Please make sure you read the owner's manual before sticking those electrics probes in things if you don't know what you're doing. It doesn't come with a carry case so I can't rate it on that, but it does seem accurate based on voltages. I tested it on and it is easy to read with large LCDs display. Definitely a good size for portability. Keeping it in your glove box or your car for quick issues is handy.

Bought this to chase down a charging problem on my travel trailer. The batteries weren't taking a charge on shore power, and I needed something to start isolating where the voltage was dropping out. I checked the AC side coming in, then what was actually reaching the batteries on the DC side, and that's how I narrowed it down to a bad AC to DC converter rather than the batteries or the wiring. The probes feel solid, the dial has good detents so you're not second-guessing the range, and DC readings were steady and consistent. The backlight is a genuinely nice touch. A lot of my testing happened in a dim storage bay and under the trailer, and being able to read the screen without holding a flashlight in my teeth made the job a lot easier. It's light and small enough to live in the truck, so it's become my grab-and-go meter for quick checks. Five stars. It saved me from replacing two 6v deep cycle batteries that were actually fine.
