I am very much pear shaped and my hips/backside is wider than my waist. Does this belt stay put for someone with a large buttocks?

Your torso length might be the determining factor for this. Our binders are 12 inches wide, sometimes if you’re shorter or have a more definitive pear shape to your body then a shorter 9 inch wide binder might be better.
