They definitely make life much easier as far as communication in a retail store. The battery's charge no issue and they last through an 8 hr shift. Speaker has a good volume but the clarity could be better. The only complaint I have is the mic sets that come with each radio. They are extremely cheap and will not last for more than a couple weeks. If you are purchasing these for a work environment, get better mic sets. We got a set of ten radios, all mics stopped working after 2 weeks of use. Aside from that.
