F1 2016 - PlayStation 4

Great game all around. My previous Codemasters F1 game was the 2011 version for Xbox360 which was ok. This one is a huge step up compared to that one. I haven't gotten into multiplayer races yet, just career mode. The practice programs are a great way to learn the tracks you're unfamiliar with and also to learn how to go as fast as possible while trying to minimize tire wear. I am a seasoned veteran when it comes to racing games and although this may not be as addictive as Gran Turismo or Forza, it is still a very enjoyable experience. My recent purchase of a racing seat with steering wheel and pedals seem to be a huge help though. Even with decades of experience with racing sims without a steering wheel, this game is very difficult for me using the standard controller. My only complaint so far is if I get a slow start at the beginning of a race, the AI drivers don't go around me, they just rear end me. And I'm not talking about immediately after the lights go out, it's after 5 or 10 seconds, and I'm just barely below the average speed, I'll get rear ended relatively consistently too. One race I qualified on the front row and had to restart the race about 6 times before I could get to turn 1 unscathed...very annoying.

This game is a blast and is much improved from the previous version. I'm talking night and day improvement. The opposing drivers have the same antics and mannerisms as they do in real life so you get some impressive and immersive racing experience with a very life like response. The courses are put together brilliantly and the racing action is unbeatable. The communication between driver and engineer can get choppy at times. Additionally misinterpretations by the team engineer can be frustrating to include the occasional non-response. But all in all it is much more functional than expected. The racing experience is so incredibly realistic especially racing in wet weather. The differences between a wet, intermediate and dry setups are insanely delicate and amusingly challenging to get use to. From P1 through race day each week throughout the season for up to 10 seasons this game delivers on so many levels. Just a great racing experience. The only other reason I hold back from a 5 star rating on this game, aside from the slightly above average yet slightly frustrating engineer to driver comm, is the announcers. I am a huge F1 fan and look forward to race commentary via Leigh Diffey, David Hobbs, Steve Matchett and Mr. Will Buxton each week. So the one huge killer for me in this game is the fact that none of these men are in the games commentary. OUCH! As a fan of F1 I was looking forward to at the very least Leigh Diffey and Will Buxton. Boy was I disappointed. I do hope that future versions have some form or combination of the stellar F1 announcing team that is currently under contract. The game just isn't right without them. The game has come a long way and is now a solid 4-stars. If the next version can work out the communication kinks between driver and engineering as well as beef up it's commentary (i.e. some conglomeration of the aforementioned gents above) then I will be touting a 5 star rating all day for this game. Either way I very much look forward to future versions of this game as they have truly set a high bench mark for racing sims with this exceptional product on offer.

One of the more fun racing games I've played in a while. Great step forward from last years game. Really enjoyed getting better and the progress of upgrades to cars, new career contracts and AI ability. Online play was pretty entertaining. I think a little more needs to be done to make the races fair and keep some people honest if they just drive on easy or crash others out of races.

F1 2016 is a fairly good game. Now, granted I havent played 2014 or 2015 as I had only gotten 2013 before this one. But the cars handle great and how'd I'd expect them too at least. Game runs smoothly, the only problem Ive encountered is from time to time the engine audio gets messy, its a simple fix with just removing the disk and popping it back in. All in all, a great game.

Game is ok I have the older versions.... BIGGEST DOWNFALL does not support FANATEC older wheel. Before anyone barks.... THE older system set up is much better, not to mention 0ver 1,000.00 for the CSL ELITE

Best racing game on PS4, Great graphics and great physics. This is the racing game to buy, it is amazing, racing in the rain is cool and the sound is great. Codemasters made a masterpiece and they should be proud

No paro de jugar esta versión de F1, quiero terminarla bien para jugar la 2017 o 2018, al principio la conducción es un poco complicada pero te acostumbras
