Well, that was easy
I have an older child who was utter garbage at telling analog time and a younger child who needed to learn. I'd tried a couple times to just instruct them, but it wasn't sticking. There is a lot of research stating that games and play help to solidify knowledge better and faster than more "traditional" teaching methods, so I thought we'd give this game a whirl. I gathered those children around when we got the game, played for about 20 minutes, and they were begging to play longer (especially the little one). I had other stuff to get done, but they sat there and played together for a while, and then would come and get the game a couple more times. Next thing I know, I'm being corrected when i say it's 11:30 but it's actually 11:27. Seriously, the game thing works, folks! It's not a game you'll use after they finally get it and get over it, but it's a lasting skill and the game can be passed along to someone else who needs to learn!

Chutes and Ladders in Baseball
This is baseball themed card game for two teams, players aged 5+, and a game will last between 10-20 minutes. If you are looking for a way to teach your young 5-6 year old about baseball and he or she has played and likes Candyland and Chutes and Ladders then this is the perfect game. The quality of the components are very nice, and it makes it easy for the little angel to understand the difference between strikes, balls, outs, and runs. There is no strategy involved. You deal out the cards, and you take action based on the cards played. If you get three strikes then the batter is out. If you get four balls before striking out, the batter walks. There are cards for double plays and fly ball outs. So, it shows a little of the complexity of baseball. We played with our grandbabies and had a blast. They knew less about baseball than grandpa imagined. We spent a fair amount of the time in teachable moments, and the little guys learned more about baseball during this game then they had in all the time prior. I am a fan of the game. There is a sweet spot for this, and it is between the Candyland and Risk phases. By the time the little gamers get to 9-10, they are probably too old to play this game, but our 5-6 year olds wanted to play it non-stop.

Fun! Quick! Great pictures!
This is a great game! My 5 year old granddaughter and I play it often. The illustrations are lovely with unusually pretty colors. Comes in a nice metal box too. Altogether the best purchase I made this Christmas.

Love the freeform creativity
Our child loves it. we play it over and over. I am looking/thinking of getting additional decks to add to this one. For an impulsive purchase it's one I would do again. If you kid is creative and likes to tell stories, this is a great way for you to engage in that creativity and explore how to continue to grow it from a small seed to a glorious tree providing the fruits of stories. Ok, that sounded corny, I know, but let's face it... kids like to tell stories, this is a great way to give them structure at an early age to help them learn and continue to be creative. Also... great way to pass the time.

Mom must have
I love how it makes learning about time fun and easy. It covers many things they are learning or are to learn in class about time/clock. It was perfect for my second grader. Definitely a fun way to learn and test their skills.
