Cleartex Floortex Ultimat 60 x 118-inch Rectangular Chair Mat for Carpets, Polycarbonate (FR1115030023ER)

I've only had this for a week but I like it better than the less expensive vinyl mat before it. It is lighter, no smell and the chair wheels don't leave dents and it seems easier to roll on it. I was a little concerned it does not have a beveled edge. It is thinner and I find the bevel is not needed. It has warnings about uncoiling it. This is no joke, have some help either with rope, a person or both. We rapped some rope around it a few times so we could control it when the band was cut. Worked well. It says it will lay flat immediately. Almost. It does retain some of it's curve but it is down and can be used immediately. After a week there is still some curve but I don't see any impact to it's use. I don't know if it will outlast the vinyl mat but my experience with polycarbonate but my guess would be yes.

We needed this large mat (6’x10’) to use a sit to stand lift to move me from bed to the commode and my power chair - it was too difficult to use on low pile carpet. It was expensive, but exceeded our expectations on quality and sturdiness! It laid flat as soon as it was unrolled (heed the warning sticker regarding caution when releasing from its binding, because it does POP open). It was shipped from TN and arrived a day earlier than expected.

I always bought two mats in the past. Purchased one large rectangle instead. This fit and works great so far. Both chairs stay on it and it allows me to roll to my cabinets and open them while at my desk. This seems like a little harder material than me last which allows the chair to roll easier. I was also able to cut it to fit easily with my jigsaw. I highly recommend.

I originally rated this product as a 5 star review. After less than 2 years it is a one star product. The mat has cracked and will have to be thrown out. I feel like it should have lasted a lot longer considering the amount of money that I paid for it. I would not recommend it to anyone.

This is no floppy vinyl mat, this is polycarbonate, think shatter-proof plexiglass, car headlights-- hard, impact resistant stuff. With this mat, I'm confidently able to use a carpeted room as a workshop, with full-on woodworking going on over it. Dust, spills, chunks of stuff, dropping tools, no worries about damaging the carpet or floor, it's been perfect over low-pile carpet. This mat lays absolutely flat, no curl whatsoever, and it is so stiff that you can vacuum over the edges without even thinking that any vacuum would pull up on the edges just like you wouldn't worry about a sheet of plywood. In fact, when you cut the cords holding the mat in a roll for shipping, follow the instructional video link because it springs right open, and flat!

Regular plastic chair mats soon develop a web of cracks. I started buying polycarbonate to extend the lifespan. My last one went 2-3 years before developing the first crack. This replacement only lasted a few weeks. (To be fair, it only developed a single crack, ever.) Somewhat disappointing but still miles ahead of standard chair mats.

I have been searching for an office mat large enough for me to move my chair from my computer desk to my writing desk, which are on the same wall in my office. I was looking for 72" x 120", but all the mats on the internet were too expensive for my taste. I came across this mat after joining Prime and after remeasuring the area where the 2 desks now sit, I decided that this mat might fit the bill. I am so glad that I pulled the trigger on this purchase. The mat is down and I can move between the desks with ease.

Excellent product!!! I bought 3 of these in 2 different sizes to cover a large area around my desk and to cover the walkway between an entrance and back door that is frequently used in my home. We just recarpeted our house, and the carpet we replaced was terrible in these areas, so we needed something better for higher traffic and yet not break up our living room too much. The result is fantastic. I was able to seem the 3 pieces together from the underside with Gorilla brand clear repair tape, and cut the entire perimeter to match the desired fit. I'll take pictures and update as soon as I'm totally finished with remodeling the room.
