is any part of the toothbrush recyclable/biodegradable?

Hello,

Thank you for your interest in Doctor Plotka's toothbrushes, and for taking the time to learn more about the product.

We share your concern about our impact on the environment, so we have experimented with more sustainable and recyclable materials- such as a bamboo handle.  Unfortunately, so far the materials tested have performed poorly, mostly because they absorb water.  When a toothbrush absorbs water, it provides a breeding ground for bacteria.  Therefore, we have decided to concentrate on customer health first.

In the meantime, we have made other efforts to help alleviate our impact:

- Our packaging is entirely recyclable in your regular cardboard/plastic bin. So please do recycle the cardboard and plastic part of the package along with other paper products.

- We sell retail “refills” to allow longer use of displays versus discarding them and getting a new one every time stores re-order.

- We never use air-shipment as they are the most harmful way of transportation for the planet

- Using longer lasting polyester in the bristles, versus traditional nylon, means the brush lasts longer than other brushes. Users can reduce their waste by 33%!

- We only email paperwork as often as possible, which saves lots of paper. We also use recycled paper in our printer and only print what is necessary.

- We also give back to the community through an association called Crown Council.  Member contributions pay to send dentists, hygienists and their teams abroad to countries in need, to provide basic care in the field and oral care education. We also participate in all kinds of local donations to schools, shelters, scouts…

Do you use toothpaste with these?

Yes the one i use is Doterra OnGuard toothpaste. No flouide or phylates and it and these brushes are the most amazing clean ever. You will find with the brushes that back teeth and even betweenckeaning  teeth are way gentler than hard plastic bristles. Buy them

Are these the MEDIUM bristles or the EXTRA Soft bristles I see on ALL the others on Amazon?

Question 4

Do these toothbrushes have a standard head size?  I can only use compact head toothbrushes.

We have 2 different head size - those 4 colors have the same one, "Adult size", the big one.
We also have 2 smaller heads on every Pink and Yellow Brush.
