actually works and it's non toxic.......non staining and smells good
was desperate to find something that was non toxic and natural that would work. this CEDARCIDE ORIGINAL is what I bought (gallon size with special they had going on and a coupon at their website). my cat is not fond of sprays so he runs so what I do is put some on my hands and go try to find him. he tries to hide but I gently rub it on him as I can (doesn't take much) and he instantly calms down because he is not itching from fleas! so I use it sparingly, not much and certainly not with a sprayer, I have used a brush and put it on the brush to brush him but my kitty does try to run due to the smell. I love the smell, it is like a cedar tree, nothing else but a bit of soybean oil and it is NON staining! I recommend it highly and they usually have coupons and the customer service is EXCELLENT. love that it works without hurting my kitty. *great for dogs too according to the website.

This stuff works and it’s safe for kitties!
Hey guys, I bought this to get rid of a moth problem around my entrances and it works on contact! I sprayed it around my entrances where there were just a boom of moths this summer. So many moths kept accidentally getting into the house and I was sick of it. The spray option has a wet spray which is more product per spray and a mist. I used both, applied the product, and instantly the moths were running for cover! That being said I have a kitty in the house whom I love dearly and I definitely wanted it to be safe for him as well. I read on the site that this product is made with a specific species of cedar that is not toxic because A it’s utilizing that oil from a specific non toxic species and B it doesn’t contain phenols! Phenols is what makes sprays and oils especially toxic to cats since they can’t metabolize them. I feel really confident about the product! As another reviewer said if you want to use this on your kitty I’d not spray directly but wipe on sparingly. Although I didn’t buy this for my cat I am still giving it a great review because it is being used around my cats living quarters. Also, I love the added benefit that it deters other critters besides moths! The product doesn’t say it specifically is formulated against moths but I had previously looked up what deters moth and cedar is one! So the more you know.

It works, but be careful
It works, but boy did I have a reaction to it! I sprayed it all along my floor boards and around doors and windows. The smell wasn’t unpleasant, but I had some sort of reaction to something in it. It made me cough, made my nose burn, and gave me a killer headache. I had to rinse out my nose about 6-7 times before I found relief, and I had to go back and wash it off of every surface I sprayed it on. It sucked. I can’t believe people spray it on their bodies-!!! I think I am an outlier though. I could just be allergic to it somehow. Even after wiping it up, it still lingered, but I could stand it, and it still kept critters at bay. I think you would need to do it consistently to have long lasting results. It is oily, so it leaves a bit of a residue, didn’t stain, but be aware. Now I only use it outside around doors and windows (never again inside-haha!), and it definitely helps. Obviously if it rains, you will need to spray again, and how long it lasts between spraying is probably region specific. It helps with the roaches, which I appreciate. I live off of an arroyo, and I get lots of critters, but I did notice that it helped.

It works. Be generous, it smells but beats fleas so who cares!!
We were taken by surprise and did not realize fleas had an alleged season, in LA it is supposedly in Autum when it gets cooler. It was terrible. This did not kill fleas that had become lose, but after treatment and proper removal with a comb, this would work as a prevention measure. I carry a travel size in my purse (yes) I have a medium size in my car and spray him before we take a walk, and I use the big size at home to spray his bed and places he sits after I clean and vacuum. It is expensive and has an odor. The smell is "woody" and I would not wear it as perfume but it's tiny price to pay for saying adieu to a flea infested Fall. This year I will shell out for the gallon and be ready . . .

Cedar-riffic
Simply the best. All natural, wonderful smell and limited ingredients. I dare you to find another bug/tick spray that can be used on animals, as well. I’ve converted all my friends now, too!

May Cause Headache and Throat Irritation
Used over 2 days at minimal amount and both times within a few minutes of application I felt a headache and mild throat irritation which didn't go away for a while after. One of my children and my husband had some sneezing within a few minutes of this product being used as well. Since the same response occurred only after product use, I am sure it is related. I like the product idea- definitely want non-toxic alternatives for flea treatment on my pets and around my kids/house, but this product isn't doing it for me. Can't really say much about it's effectiveness against fleas b/c I cannot tolerate it long enough to see if it works. The smell is like a smokey cedar odor (I don't care for it)- however after the smokiness wears off, then just a cedar scent remains which is much nicer (like an old cedar closet smell). My bottle sprayed without any issues- the mist setting did mist so no complaints there. I used very little on a gloved hand to pat around a few areas on my furry dog who has picked up a flea or two recently despite what should be winter here in NY. The dog seemed fine with the product. Later that evening I lightly misted her bed with maybe 2 spritzes and rubbed that around to spread it. Very light applications on both accounts as I wanted to test it slowly on her/around her in case she reacted to the cedar oil. The next morning I light spritzed part of an area rug. Every time it resulted in headache and throat irritation that lingered for over an hour after. I am returning it- there is a satisfaction guarantee and I am not satisfied since I cannot use it without feeling unwell.

Best & Safest Flea Repellent I have ever found!!!
When it comes to looking for something safe/natural that works it's been almost impossible!!! Nexgard killed 1 of our Dogs & FrontLine, I've been having to use a vial for a large 80 pound dog on my 20 pound dog and it still doesn't touch the fleas... we have also used Seresto collars, which are very pricey and they don't work either... Up to this point I had found nothing that actually worked until I Discovered Cedarcide. OMG, it will kill the fleas that your dog or cat may have on them very quickly and the fleas are not coming back...and best of all its SAFE!!! I am not necessarily a fan of the scent of cedar but because it works so incredibly well, I can deal with the scent! I'm only spraying it on my hand and wiping it on the top of the head and the neck of my cat and down her back where she can't reach it because its still cedar and she doesnt need to ingest that and I'm spraying it on my dogs just like I would put frontline down their back and I do put a little on my hand and put it on their legs and their belly ... I'm only having to do it once a week. Obviously I don't know for a fact it's keeping the Mosquitoes away but bugs in general don't like the smell of Cedar and we don't have ticks but I will not ever use another poison on my dogs or cats again? I will literally not ever be without a bottle and because it takes so little, one bottle should last several months if not longer...well worth checking it out!
