Lonely Planet Istanbul (Travel Guide)

Excellent, recently updated guide for our trip. Great content, easy to navigate, and has everything you need to jump right into the city. Will look to buy more versions for future trips. Thanks lonely planet!

Very informative, however buy the updated version because things do change.

Has lots of suggestions for Istanbul and important things to see. I like the sections on places to eat as well.

This book has a lot of great information. The overview gave me a great starting point for planning my trip. It’s also packed with details which were extremely helpful in picking specific things. I highly recommend this book if you’re feeling overwhelmed and not sure where to start.

I'm a Lonely Planet fan from way back. They just can't be beat.

Not too think, doesn't have a bunch of info one doesn't need, and great maps. I can't wait to get to Istanbul!

Sono appena tornata da Istanbul e, come sempre, mi sono affidata a questa guida. E' precisa, offre buoni spunti per la visita della città e delle attrazioni.

This guide is clearly written by and for people under 40. The print is so small I need both my glasses and a separate magifying glass to read. Not exactly compatible with travel. I don't think I will buy any more Lonely Planet guides based on this. The information is good but not accessible if you are an older traveler with older eyes.

This guide was good for information about places and things to do. Due to the current economy, prices had increased a large amount. Maps could have been a bit more detailed.

I found it quite well organised and full of useful information, including a large map of Istanbul. Of course, once I can visit the city, I will be able to complete my review, but in principle I liked it quite a lot.
