The leather itself doesn't have a shine to it and it does have some texture so it feels and looks a bit more quality than the price gives it credit for. The drawstrings work flawlessly. My one fault is the money clip is just slid into a little slot in the middle and there is nothing that secures it. I have had one instance so far where the flip itself slid out. I like that you don't have to pre-fold your bills, just lift up the clip, slide your stack of bills in, and snap it shut. Done! The quick-access pull tab systems work great, even with 6 cards per side. I took off one star because one of the red strips retracts completely when the cards are pushed in while the other side leaves a 1/4" of red strip showing.
